We have Tyrrel Park ready to play and it is sure to challenge all skill levels. Even if you can throw your disc a mile, we've got a hole thats a mile and a half. Plenty of chances for 2's and 5's.

There will be water and gatorade on ice and lunch will be served both days, all for free, donated by the GT DiscGolf Club.

There are plenty of hotels in Beaumont from really cheap to pretty expensive, depending on what you like.

We hope as many of you come out as possible. We are going to raise money year round in order to make the Beaumont's Annual Thomas Bertrand Memorial tournament and Port Arthur's Pleasure Island tournament as big and rewarding as possible.

Come out and have some fun at Klein, our ace/duece course, and Tyrrel Park, over 7,000 feet of fun.

Anyone making it out pack some extra bedding for the hurricane victims staying in the Beaumont area. One of the locals has offered to take it to the right place....

From the Beaumont board (www.gtdiscgolf.com)
"Anyone coming to the tourney this weekend, please bring any bedding you have to spare. I dropped some stuff off at Ford Park yesterday, and its pretty bad. A lot of desperate people who thought they were leaving for a couple of days are finding out it could be more than a month before they can get back to the area where they live with no guarantee that there is anything left. They are in desperate need of bedding, clothing, and any entertainment they can get ahold off (books, board games,etc....) There is a major shortage of pillows and blankets. Also any toiletries you have would be greatly appreciated. These people are in dire straits and need our help, lets do what we can. Thanks."

I hope as many as you DG'ers can make it as possible. I realize that finding a place to sleep may be difficult. If you need a place to crash Friday or Saturday night, call me at 454-2492 and I'll locate you a place to crash. Of course, if anyone likes to camp there are plenty of places to camp in Beaumont. Free pizza, gatorade, and water for all players and their guests. Hope to see ya there. Oh yea, we're going to have the brand new WRAITHE here, kick arse.
