i think its the people that say"look good from here" as if disc golf is a completely 2 dimensional game - it is possible for a disc to be at the perfect height and still miss the basket by 10 feet

same as "nice line". hahaha. if it was a nice line it woulda gone in, instead of being high, low, wide, in the tree, whatever.
i had one guy tell me "Great shot" at worlds as my disc pulled left and somehow found an invisible pass through a bunch of trees. no, my friend, that not a great shot. that was an incredibly crappy shot that got waaaaaay more lucky than it deserved!

Holy..crickets are baddddddd in south Tejas at the moment..
What's ruining disc golf are the friggin yahoo's at my home course who think the woods are actually one giant trash dump. Sickens me. Then I clean it up. I'm Jonny Appleseed.
Infants ruin disc golf. Not by being out on the course and making too much noise or something like that. After friends have babies, their wife wont let them come out and play. Yep, the instinct to reproduce ruins disc golf. Thats right, I said it.

Thanks Theo.

Yeah I'm serious. Perfect example:
CFR Wraiths are available at multiple online stores for $15.99 plus shipping. But what vendors are doing is limiting their online stock and selling their CFR Wraiths on Ebay for over $22 plus shipping! So these idiots are paying like $27 for a CFR Wraith that they could easily buy at zonedriven or somewhere like that for around $20.99. These vendors aren't stupid either, they know what they are doing.
So this scenario is justification for inflating the prices of discs. If you don't believe me, try to find a 2001 CE Roc for under $150. And don't give me the "they are rare" argument. I have seen an '01 CE Roc on ebay every week for like 3 years. Yeah, they are rare, they only made what, 10,000 of them. Unless its the same one, they aren't as rare as people think.

You can only sell things for what people are willing to pay. Its not the sellers fault for selling them its the buyers fault for paying that much. Do you think people would sell those discs on ebay for that much if people wouldnt pay the money??? NOPE they wouldnt so whats really ruining disc golf (in your opinion) is [I'm a potty-mouth!] consumers that are willing to overpay for discs. Not sellers on ebay trying to sell them for more then retail.
And actually whats really ruining discs golf are the people online and ebay that are selling discs for less then MSRP.

Your argument cuts both ways Steve. It is just economics. Innova and Discraft can set MSRPs but ultimately they are going to get sold for what they are actually worth.

Maybe if Innova mass-produced them instead of making them CFRs the players would benifit instead of vendors and collectors?
Whats so bad with selling less than MSRP? Its the dealers that would be taking a proffit cut. They can sell more discs for a lower price, so they make more in the long run. both sides benefit. i dont see how this could be bad in any possible way.
Ive never bought a disc for MSRP, and i never will. why should i? 20$ + tax on Champion at *****, or 9$ from tony? what would you do?
The price of discs is a great example of a free marketplace in action. Some of the coveted discs were hard to manufacture. And yes, some are 'limited' intentionally. But there is an easy way to watch the price come down. Don't pay that price. When people stop paying $100+ for a CE Roc, eventually they will be available for less. I believe that CE Cheetahs are 'valued' at $150 because 2 people got into a bidding war on Ebay for some of the first available and now all those who paid in the $50+ range will let them hang on a wall rather than take less. Just think of the high prices as an opportunity to try something new. And if you like it, stock up! Or you could always try speculating in discs but chances are you'll end up with a lot of funky discs. I've probably got one of the largest collections of GumPutts (because I started out putting with them). But I don't think I'll ever get my money back for them.

If they did that they then the Pro Worlds payout next year would suffer. Its not like they are only makin a hundred of these things and after 2006 Pro Worlds if the disc is popular enough Im sure Dave and Innova will make it a production run but untill then it will be stocking the 06 Pro World payout :D
