I emailed Gateway disc yesterday morning regarding their 5 Wizard special. It's a day later & 9pm but still no reply.
Should I just be more patient?

But I post in case someone may already know the answer to my question.

I asked them if I could "request" the disc flexibility & weight of all 5 discs. I asked for all 5 in the Soft plastic & max weight 175.
I ReALLy need to practice putting & thought 5 of the same disc would do wonderfully. Plus with all the rave reviews of this disc I should be hitting 20 footers in no time :D

Thanks.

They are VERY VERY flexible with you on this. I got 10 wizards from them, 5 in soft 168 and 5 mixed, which ended up being 1 SUPER DUPER soft, 1 super soft, 2 sotfs, and 1 medium. They're usually good about responding promptly. Maybe they're distracted by an event they're working with or something.

I have ordered from them and you usually get the discs you ask for. Both times I have ordered wizards that had mis prints in that weight and style. Also it might take a couple days to get answers from them, I think they all go away to tournaments towards the week-end, but I have learned that patience pays off.

Thanks guys. I'm in no hurry.
I thought they may be busy with a tourney this weekend.
There is a "Pro C" tourney here in my hometown this weekend, it will be my first time going & checking one out.

But it ooks like I should have no problem getting 5 of the same disc though :D

It looks like nobody has been on this messageboard for a day or two from GDS. When I ordered from them they were extreemly helpful. Never heard anything bad.

Justin is up here in Nebraska for the weekend, so if its not taken care of by Monday, I'm sure Justin will do so then.

Thanks Chris for clearing that up.
We will be back on monday to answer emails and send out orders.
Justin brought up the 9 Titans for the new course in Blair.
I think he is staying at MR Bills house.
Good luck this weekend and ask Justin for a flyer for the 15th annual Gateway open.
We are having it at Creve Coeur which is currently being redesigned. It will play to about 10,500 FT. and a par 68.
This course is so sweet it gives you a chance to use ALL the discs in your bag.

PS,
To bad about Travis, I think he is being a little impatient. The hybrid will be ready by the end of next week and the scream should follow. OH WELL!
You will be beating him on a regular bassis soon any way :D

Just an update since Discin bumped me.... ....

I got a PM from David at GDS & everything is being taken care of :)

On a side note. I mentioned the touney this weekend here in South Bend,IN (South Bend Pro Championships. Wow. Really creative name eh?)
When I goto MDGC.ORG it lists this Saturday as B Tier / GDS Tour while Sunday is B Tier.
Does that mean GDS will be there on Saturday? Maybe I can pick up some Wizards direct :D

I had the same problem. I ordered in June, and didn't recieve my order until August. For that period of time, no e-mails were answered, and phone calls went to answering machine. I did talk to a lady somewhere along that time who assured me the order would be shipped, but obviously it wasn't. I did have several responses on the forums; most were to the effect of "did you order from us?"

It was Justin who finally took care of the order. Pretty much matched what I requested other than a light 170 disc.

I've thrown them once during around (as I've started working long hours and can't play every day as I did in the summer). The soft has beat up during one round of play, so I went to the medium and firm. Incidentally I had many bounce outs with the soft, none with the firm.

I've put off ordering other discs due to the long wait; if I continue to try gateway discs I will purchase from a different venue. Though, the local players say if I order now, I may get them by Thanksgiving break.

Well so far my experience has been completely different.
I emailed David this morning & he has already replied back.......

So in case anyone else is wondering if you can request 5 identical discs :D

We will make sure you get Soft and 174-175 gram discs.
It may be difficult for you to get 5 exactly the same, for this you would need to pay full retail.
They will be close enough and we will try to get at least 2 sets of 2 and one other disc in the 5.

So thanks for the quick reply Mr Dave @ GDS.

(p.s) They also have 10 for $50 which I didn't know & now talking to my friend about.... :D

Practice practice.....
Drive for show, putt for bragging rights. ( lol. I don't play tourneys yet. )

Every order that I have placed with Gateway has gone smoothly and been received quickly. I have found that calling and talking to Justin to be the best way to order. (when he's not out winning NT events) Justin's knowledge of the game and Gateway plastic can help tailor your order to your game. He has been very helpful and informative about the range of discs and plastics available. Meeting him at the worlds was a pleasure. Watching him park a 450 foot hole in the semis was awesome.

I agree Calling the shop or emailing office@gdstour is the best way to get in touch with us.
We will be adding a few more to the staff in September which should help with our customer service.
Justin does a GREAT JOB when hes there but cannot be there everyday, especially while playing in Disc golf events across the country.
We are also focusing a lot of our attention to disc golf course design and installation and will soon be installing at least 3 new ones here in St Louis, One in Tampa FL. and actually one next week in Omaha NE.
All of these course will feature the new Titan Baskets, So I guess its time we send one off to the pdga for approval ;)

Our retail store ( where we also distibute out of) at Jefferson Barracks disc golf course is also become quite popular with players coming in all day long.
I love helping players who come in the store and so does everyone else who works there, but it takes a lot of time up each day.
Hopefully the new employees will help us become a better company.
Thanks again for all the props and the patience with our company in our growing pain stage!

Gateway has always been top notch for me. I have never had any issues with Gateway. I look forward to what they can produce next for the sport.

I love your plastic and have been happy with other orders but...
I ordered some discs on August 4th and I still do not have my order! I have called twice and e-mailed twice with no response.

I ordered from the web site but it did not take me to titledisc. The other time I ordered it did not go through titledisc either but I got my order in like 5 days.
I do have my order # and reference #.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. They make a great product though. I just ordered some more Gateway products, but I went through another vendor.

I'll eventually need to order more of their putter deals for practice putters.
