I just recieved a Z-Storm after long searching for one. I haven't had a chance to throw it yet but it feels allot like the X-Storm. I was wondering how rare these disc are and if anyone has had postivie reviews of this disc. It took me forever to find one but I heard someone say they are going to be more common now. Anyone else heard this?

They are now available as a regular production item. I have thrown them since first introduced at DGLO and love them. Recently purchased one of the new production versions and for me it flies identically to the more difficult to find DGLO versions. You are going to love them.

It is a regular production disc now. I hear they break easily.

Well I was kinda scared after holding mine to find how flimsy the Z-Plastic is on this disc. I mean I would guess this would help the flight pattern because it feels just as flemsy as the X plastic if not more. It just seems like it could break if hit hard. Its my favorite disc right out of the box though so I hope it holds up.

NewBreeze, sounds like you got one of the fly dyed original Z Storms, opaque white Z plastic with the DGLO stamp....? If so the ones I have are most definitely not flimsy, easily broken or quick to break in/wear out. Very durable!! I have hit many, many trees point blank off the tee with a full rip (admittedly for me that ain't no biggy) with minimal scuffing and no cutting. I also use the Z Storm as my primary get out of jail overhead scooby disc meaning the top of the flight plate gets quite a bit of exposure to damage and that holds up beautifully as well. Can't speak to the rumors about the new opaque Z versions being easily broken. Haven't seen it myself and not many folks around here throw Storms period, much less the Z versions. My advice, don't baby it. Go out there and throw the cr@p out of it, learn it, enjoy it. If you loose it feel confident that the new ones fly the same. If you break one of those, then get another one. :D

Thanks for the info. Nice call on the NewBreeze thing!! I have the Orange one that has Discraft written accross the top. At the Bottom it has Z-Storm and Long Range Driver. Which has changed from Midrange Driver of the X plastic.

Neowind - I'm the only one that I know off in the Dallas area that throws the Z-Storm and I love them. I've got 3 in my bag. One beat DCGLO, one medium use DCGLO and one new modern Z-Storm. I have been throwing the first one since it came out and I think it has always been the most predictable disc in my bag. No damage to the disc, and I hit alot of trees. They hold up well.
