I have not posted in months for 93 reasons. This year has been non stop for me it started with the first course in Chicago the first basket ever in the city limits par 66 edgebrook golf course it is doing awsome one of my best courses.A big thanks to Jon Brakelland Spike .The next course was Fort Worth Ideal golf ranch par 60 the heat was 115 with the heat index at 139.A big thanks to Brian Mace and Jon and others. After that I started on 29 palms Road runner golf course in the desert half way through the 9 hole coursepar 36 I got a call from the management group in chicago they wanted to get another course in soon I flew out in 2 days and it was open in a 10 days from the call the course is called White Mt golf course in tinley park ILL.that also was a 9 hole course par 29.A big thanks to Brian Cummings for his help on that course.I had a bid on a college campus course that we had been going back and forth on for a month and while I was in Chicago 2 days before I was to leave they they approved the bid and away we go to Council Bluffs Iowa western couminity college. After the 7 hr drive we were back at work again. The design took 3 days it is on over 200 acres of roling hills. The course has dual baskets on ever hole and 26 tee locations with 1/2" fly pads. The weather was so hot they broke records 3 of the days 105 we had to work at nite under lights it was still in the 90s with lots of humidity. The course opened up for play on the 30th of july.A big thanks to Ken Franks from nebraska who got dirty with us.The one to pull the strings at the college was Mike Wolbecker he has been at the school for 31 years!!!!!He is a new disc golfer and happy with the course. The name of the course is Treasure Cove. This course has 4 lay outs for all levels of play par 55 one par 4.The front 9 you can play with no shoes and 1 disc and have fun ,but the back 9 has teeth for all.It measures 6,300 ft in the pro layout. After that I drove back with a friend Matt who was moving to Ca it took 32 hrs with a trailer in a ford f150 with curch bench seats.Trucks were passing us like we were standing still after 3 days we were home.I missed worlds this year because i was bussy verry bussy.I left Iowa with 36 ears of corn and blisters from moving 26 tons of crush a run base.I took 4 days off then went back to finish 29 palms it was over 113 it is now open par 36.After that trip I now have 201 baskets in the ground most are on golf courses. My efforts are pulling me to the north east New York and washington DC area.I plan on 3 more courses this year and I am done.I have plenty of people that throw stones at fly 18, that is a 43 year old disc golfer with a vision of something better for our sport .My skills are building awsome courses, for all to play, please judge me for what I do, not what I say.We all have a purpose, I found mine.Game On !!!!!!!Fly18 building disc golf premier venues .Try one on for size. ;)And thanks to all of the people that continue to believe in the concept, that is what keeps me going, day to day.6 courses in 7 months in 4 states.

You're doing good work, Reese, no doubt... a bit hard to read about when you update us without the benefit of spellcheck, but it's a foregone conclusion that you'll never warm up to that particular technology. :D
However, as someone who lives in the DFW area, I can assure you that it has not come anywhere near 115 degrees any day this year, and a heat index of 139 is almost unheard of 'round these parts... unless you're taking that temp while sitting in the front seat of a black pickup with the windows rolled up tight. :D

Dunnedin FLA getting some good play, the little nine hole course nearby is getting a makeover and nine more baskets. Which will increase the play on the Fly18.
Lutz FLA is a sharp course. I'm not sure how much play it's getting since I havn't made it back(12-19-05) Man, I better start practicing. Great layout, fast greens on moderate hills, some very scenic golf holes. I only threw from the longs but had the course to myself. nice people, they probably love the fresh faces.
Sarasota needs a course, we needs the precious.
Lost but not forgotten .....I guess i filled out the boxes wrong I thought I was f18...I have not posted in a while I was verry bussy last year...I did get a chance to play the players cup in fla it was a great start. There were some great holes. It is nice to see more baskets on golf courses. While in Fla I did pull Wellington in west palm beach it was buoght and went private members only.I then pulled Sarasota the big boy due to sagging sales .thanks Kenny for your sledgehammer skills. All of the mach 5s from sarasota moved to dunedin, st andrews links, and was also outfitted with new 1/2" fly pads ,some new basket and pad changes were made.My new course is 25 min north of tampa called Lutz executive golf course. This is a 9 hole course with dual baskets on each hole it also has 3 sets of tees on each hole it plays 6,400 from pro pads 5,333 ams 4,200 novice.Only 2 of 18 baskets are on flat ground the rest are on all sides of hills to make putting a premium.....2005 was a great year 2006 has some surprises ......Fly 18 alive and kicking...
