Sell them on Ebay. At least you wont have to listen to people complain about a dollar or two difference. If I threw Discraft, I buy some off you.

Am I the only one who sees the wry irony in a Gateway sponsored "amateur" selling Innova and Discraft plastic to fund his trip to a pro oriented event?

Well....I am going Pro this weekend, and as far as the plastic, its all they gave out at Worlds.

Pimp,
Don't worry about getting those Z-Avengers for me; if you can put two and two together. 4 out of those 7 already sold are being shipped to me. :D
Those purple Avengers will look sweet in my bag next to the bright pink Beast. It takes a real man to throw pink and purple discs. But it's even better when you throw those pink and purple discs 150ft further then everyone else.

I don't know but does it strikes anybody else as being weird that this individual uses the term " fundraiser " for an endeavour like this?? I mean when I think of Fundraisers I think of events to help people in relief from Tsunamis or planes crashing in buildings. And maybe having fundraisers to help abused and battered children or children stricken with cancer at St. Judes !!
But fundraisers to sell frisbees so this one individual can go to a frisbee contest
Dude, I have nothing aganst selling merchandise to supplement a a trip like this. This is a great goal you are pursuing and just a dream to many others. So I say go for it.
But just have a little more reverence for this word "fundraiser" and the context of which you use it.
Realize the history of it and the many people who have used it to help others who are truly suffering and are in really really dire
need !!
P.S. Ha here is an idea! Thru the sale of your Discs why don't you take the proceeds and put it towards starting programs to get inner city children interested in Disc Golf. Maybe buy some beginner Discs and other equipment to donate to something like this.
Now that is a Fundraiser

Fundraiser-a contraction of the two words fund and raiser. An event to raise funds.
I understand what you are saying, but he came right out and said what it was for. No hiding where the funds are going. I still do think it is weird that a Gateway Sponsored player is selling Discraft discs to raise funds for a major tournament. Seems to me the sponsor would figure out a way to help raise funds while not selling off competitor's discs. But, what do I know?
You think the other disc sposner would rather him keep the competitors discs? That makes no sense to me.

But don't you think that Gateway would be much happier that he sold those discraft discs for his own personal benefit (he is not advertising for Discraft, just stating whats for sale), instead of him taking those brand new discs to USDGC and using them in competition.
I think it would be weirder (is that a word?) for him to throw them instead of sell them. What else is he supposed to do with them?
Plus this is pretty much his Pro debut, I cannot blame his sponsor for not paying his way. Now next year, if he qualifies and Gateway does not pay for it, then we can ask questions about it.
I agree. Didn't mean he should throw them. Just thought it funny.
