HILL COUNTRY HUCK FEST 2006 !!!
More info below.
http://www.twinparkscountryclub.com/
___________________________________
Come join us in kicking the year off right. With the help of DGA and New Belgium Brewery, and our guest TD Roger Allen from the Waterloo Disc Golf Club, we would like to invite everyone out to enjoy the scenic Texas Hill Country, while playing some of the most exciting and challenging disc golf South Texas has to offer. The event will be non-sanctioned, two rounds, and thanks to New Belgium Brewery, there'll be plenty of Fat Tire available throughout the rounds, and the rest of the day. After the rounds, there will be an after party at the main house sponsored by Club 81 Productions. Come join us for what we expect will be one of the funnest tournaments disc golfers will play all year. Registration is available online at TitleDisc, as well as in our Pro Shop during club operating hours. For those players who pre-register, either online or in the clubhouse, the $5 Club/TD Fee will be waived on your entry. For more information, please feel free to contact us by e-mail, or you can call the clubhouse at 512-858-2924.

Feb 21 2006, 01:48 PM
Sorry for the mix up on the prices, guys. Titledisc is correct, and the website has been changed. The only wrong price now should be the ones on the full color flyers. The correct entries are as follows:
Open, Open Masters -- $35
Open Women -- $30
Advanced, Advanced Masters -- $30
Advanced Women -- $20
Intermediate -- $20
Recreational -- $15
$5 Optional Ace Pot
There's a full list of raffle items and CTPs on the website. I've added more CTPs, though, so there's now 4 CTPs on each course, plus one more on each course that's JUST for the ladies. That's 10 CTP holes total!!
The format and course assignments are listed on the website as well. You can e-mail me with any questions at

Of course. All am entries will receive the same pack. You will have a choice of the mid range pack, or the driver pack (either a Tsunami, or a Squall).

For millennia, the Ancients have protected the PDGA from domination by the Ori, but Daniel's activation of the communications device has alerted the Ori to the vast numbers of unbelievers in Earth's PDGA membership. As a result, the Ori have begun to send out missionaries, called Pryors. Armed with the power of their Ascended masters and convinced that heathen lives are worthless, the Pryors' goal is to convert the entire galaxy to the power of the Ori by any means necessary.

My day yesterday was filled with crunching numbers and cleaning up. When I finally went to get the scores together, I realized some of them are still on Lou's computer....so we'll post those later.
I would like to thank everyone who came out and signed up, even while it was raining. The rain DID stop right before the first round, and didn't come back the rest of the day. From what I could tell, the people who DID show had a great time. I believe our final number was 73. Not bad, I guess, considering the weather Saturday morning.
Thanks Waterloo for helping me out, and to the many great sponsors who came aboard and made sure there were plenty of giveaways for everyone. Look in the next disc golf mag for a full follow-up story on the event.
Don't forget....our Monday minis are tonight, and there's still $500 on the line for the ace pot. Come and get it.

I probably should've posted this with the scores.
In the first round,
Hill - MPO and MA1 (blue) and MM1 (white)
Shire - All women and MA3 (red) and MA2 (white)
The opposite course and same tees were played in the 2nd round.

I doubt it,everyone had a fun time at Twin Parks,it was just as windy at Twin Parks as it was at Temple.Discnation did the payout and we only had a 20 minute drive home.I think it worked out well-Round Rockers had a 30 min drive and south Austin golfers had a 20 minute drive.BTW what do you like about that 5th st course? looking at the scores maybe I shouldve played Temple, I thought my 63 on the Lions course sucked and I played in about the same wind last weekend. :D
