Right now, I use a discraft cyclone as a multi-purpose disc. I have been playing for about a year, and I would like to get another multi-purpose/approach/mid range disc. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Spider, Coyote, Classis Roc, Aviar, etc....

I have a champion cobra that is truly multi-purpose, it can ride 300+ feet if needed and hold its line, great roller, great thumber, grenade, and yes, even a putter. It's great for side arm, holds its line, and even makes a nice long range putter and tends to stay in the basket, I can't say enough about it when control is what your looking for.
Definitely try a ROC, Buzz, or Wasp
i would try a roc or a classic roc

Thanks everyone for your advice. I guess I will have to consider all of the options you gave me.

I have a 168 Coyote that is doing some pretty neat things. Anhyzer, hyzer, flat. If you have good form then this disc works great, if you cant control the disc then its no good at all. Nothing too long, but hey, you want a midrange multipurpose, I say you get one of these. :)
Awesome, yeah my form isn't great so I might pick one up and just play with it and see what happens. But I have been thinking a lot about the Coyote so that just might be the one. Thanks a lot.
I've thrown a bunch of midranges in my 2years playing and i'd saying anything that Resembles or throws like the ROC mold would be the best bet.
I like DX rocs beucase they are stable when they start and they get beat in then become perfect.
The Buzzz is Discraft's version of a beat in Roc and in Z plastic it's one of the best midranges i;'ve ever thrown(i've thrown all the CE rocs).
and Gateway's version would probably be somewhere along the line of an E(for Evolution plastic) Element-x(x for more stable). That is a fun disc to toss around and if you want something less stable they have the regular Element..
I'd say go with any of thoes and you''d be fine.. all are great discs to learn with.

a Roc, most definitely. I also use a Stratus.

Roc & Coyote
Get yourself a DX ROC, one of the 2 best discs ever made. The other being an Aviar.

I agree with the Element -X as well. I haven't thrown an E version yet, but I love mine in S. I didn't recomend it though because I like the premium plastics and haven't gotten an E Element-X yet to compare it to my Z-Buzzz.
So I guess I'd add the Element-X to my list of great Multi-Purpose Discs as well. :D

The Aviar? As far as putting goes, I have 100% confidence in the Gateway Wizard line. They are the best all-around putt and approach...to me. You want something that goes straight everytime...your best bet is a Wizard. It's true. :D
