My wife went out to find me a lightweight driver and came back with the Innova Archangel. While I can get some good distance (for me 300') with it about half the time it turns over to the right and ends up way offline of the target ( it always goes right before fading but sometimes it stays right almost to vertical). Can anyone out there give me any pointers on how to throw this thing. It's nice to get 40-50 extra feet D but not when it winds up 75' off line!!

You can pick up either of two other discs in the same weight of your archangel.

A valkrie or a sidewinder will likely stay more stable then that archangel of yours.

Archangels are famous for being long drivers but hard to control. I would only throw it on long wide open holes, not in the woods. I'm also a big fan of Valks and Sidewinders for controlled distance.

Is it completely obvious to say that if you throw it with some hyzer on the release, it will flip up to flat, and then fly straight.

Only problem is it is so unpredictable that it will then take an extreme fade and end up 100' down fairway and 150' off fairway!! It seems to be a no win disc!!! Thanks for all the help anyway, I have found an Eagle that does me well!!

Well then, is it completely obvious to tell you that you should keep telling your wife how AWESOME the disc she got you is.. even if you don't throw it much? ;)

That one is obvious. I take the "ArchDemon" with me everytime and it is the best disk I have!! This keeps her as the best woman I have!!! ;) Anything for my sweetheart!!!

The one I have flies almost identical to a teebird. It's in my closet if you want to borrow it, Donny.

I highly recommend you get a 165g Champion Sidewinder. I think you would be very happy with this disc.

The archangel is great when it's brand new, but after a few rounds it gets frustrating. I was having a competition between a sidewinder and a starfire to see which one i would replace the archangel with, but then i tossed the starfire into the great unknown, so now it's the sidewinder. Does me well.

You have one that flies like a teebird?!? Ours is completely worthless. We should have thrown it in the lake a long time ago, but it takes so much of a right hook we couldn't hit the lake from five foot away!

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my experience with an archangel as well! Only My dog likes my Archangel, it's "his disc" now...

dude, a Sidewinder is going to turn over too unless you throw it with a little hyzer. if you're looking for major D check out the Pro Starfire, it's easy to control and it has wings :D
