The Days Inn was actually the second choice for the host hotel. The original hotel was located in downtown Allentown and the 'discounted' rate was $79.00 per night. With tax, that would have likely approached $90 per night. We got a lot of feedback indicating that this was unreasonable and would affect attendance at Pro Worlds 2005.

With a much lower room rate, the Days Inn was more in line with disc golfer's budgets. Draft beers at the bar were only $1.50. The pool was nice, and the location just off Rt. 22 and Rt. 309 was much more convenient than downtown Allentown. The Saturday night party rocked - I think the single best thing about Worlds and that hotel was getting a free meal on Saturday night after everything was over.

It was definitely not a luxury hotel but you get what you pay for.

Getting CLEAN towels, CLEAN sheets, or a tub that drained, doesn't seem like to much to ask? Even if its not a "luxury" hotel.
