I just played a private course I found on the directory I did not know existed, and found a new favorite. The owner was very nice, and helpful, and they have put together one of the nicest, most challenging courses in the state of North Carolina. It is called Cedar Lake, and is in Archdale, just south of High Point. It plays around a lake, and yes, I lost three discs on the day. (As I sidenote, the driver I lost was not the new Discwing Quarter K I just got, but a Disccraft Elite XL I just got. The Discwing did fly very far, and is great in the wind. I did not test it for floatability, although I have heard it does. I will let someone else test that.) I just wanted to post that I hope more people will use the Course Directory to find these not-as-well-known courses that in many cases are every bit as good, if not better in some ways as the public ones, and most are free. (I will include the course's website so you can see what a nice course this guy Ben has built, and he had a nice selection of Lighting Discs, bags, and some Cedar Lake floaters I should have bought one of BEFORE I started.)
