Hey guys! I'm new to the forum so first of all whats up? I am going to start playing tournys next year but don't know where to begin. I'm not sure if you start at am and work your way up or if you get placed into a certain group. I haven't signed up with a membership with PDGA yet so I don't have my rulebook or anything. I have been playing for 3 years, both my sidearm and backhand throws are about equal length. Most of the holes on my course are in the mid 300 range and I can reach them all pretty easily. On the 400+ holes I tend to throw around 400 ft. I also have a pretty wicked hammer toss, one which I got my first hole in one with ;). My putting is relatively good, not GREAT, but good. So basically... where do I start? Can somebody gimme some advice? I'm doing a membership in probably a week. Thanks a ton!

Play Advance....sounds like you'd be competetive, and at least then you don't have to deal with all the rec-ish BS.

So when I sign up for a membership with the PDGA should I do the Pro Membership? Isn't it something like AM1, AM2, Advanced, Pro, etc... Sorry I'm a **** newbie :p

Nevermind, I got it figured out. I was thinking about playin a couple tournaments before the season ended but now I think I'm just gonna wait till next year.
