I like the "What's in the bag" thread so I thought I would put a twist on it...sometimes I wonder how people carry a dozen different molds in their bag
This thread is dedicated to the discs that no longer deserve a home in your bag.
Recently, I retired my flippy roc for an Element "S"...I almost feel like I'm cheating with it.

I am in rebuilding mode, so I am down to 4 molds right now. Wizards, Rocs, Leopards and Teebirds all in DX or S.
This means that out of the bag are....
Champ Orc
DX Beast
DX Valk
Champ Viking
Champ Eagle
KC Pro Cheetah
Element
Element X
Classic Roc
Aviars
H Speed Demon go beat up fast by trees and is now flippy. Gonna buy Champ Monster to fill the void.

Looks like your simplifying your bag BIG TIME!!
really beat/flippy xs is out of my bag and in a creek
soon getting rid of the pro-line rhyno and prostyle upshot-2 for a single putter to take the place of those 2
the rest of my bag is fine for now
really beat/flippy xs is out of my bag and in a creek
One of my E Spirits left my bag for a creek as well. ;)
My X-Putt'r was a great putter, but didn't hold up well in the wind so it was booted.
My QJLS recently left and was replaced by a backup E Sabre for simplicity sake.
My H Illusion wasn't fitting in either and I had a hard time finding it afer a throw so I let it go as well, not that I looked very hard. It just happens to fall into a stability range that I don't really need.
Right now I'm considering temporarily removing the E Speed Demon to leave room for a disc to experiment with (probably an Orion or Avenger). The S Spirit that's in there does about the same thing and it would be fun to get it really beat up to see what happens.
I almost forgot. The Proline Gremlin was my midrange of choice for a while but they're too hard to find.

I'm a little biased but.....
No innova, no gateway, no millennium, and no DGA. On the Discraft side, I haven't put an Eclipse in my bag in 10+ years!
No more smoke(s) in the bag either! :D(cigarettes) :D

I finally took the advice and want to learn to throw a few discs really well, as opposed to throwing a bunch of different discs rather poorly. It makes a lot of sense, hindsight is always 20/20.
It is really hard going to the shop and seeing all this plastic on the wall and just saying no. But I am getting a hell of a lot better.
I just took some discraft out. cryztal buzz and cryztal challenger are out, KC aviar and ching roc are IN. Cryztals gave me no grip and huge skips.
I always used to carry a light driver (a 149 JLS or a 149 Champ JK Valk), but then I realized I was less accurate with them and did not really get any extra distance with a tailwind, so now they are out of the bag. Also recently exiled my Champ Orc, which I just don't think I am strong enough to throw well.
1st run Z-Buzzz is out - gave them to Sandalman, they were too expensive to replace so I figured I should find something else to throw (CryZtal Buzzz seem to be doing the trick)
Pretty Pink DX Spider - This one hurts...I chucked it into a lava rock retaining wall, it chunked it and made it ridiculous understable
First Run Pro Aviar - replaced by firm Wizard
Champ & DX Eagle, DX Gazelle, DX Cobra, Z-Crush, some other stuff that escapes me right now.
I am trying to reduce my molds by varying weights and plastics (ie. Champ, Pro, and DX Valk all different weights). The other day it worked great, but today I was hurting in a huge wind. Never was confident in what I was throwing.

I think I have had more different drivers in my lineup than anyone in the world. I couldnt even begin to list them all. Maybe if I get really bored I will try.
I can throw a trashcan lid and do about anything with it, but I can''t make a 15 footer. lol

cuz your Avenger is IN! :D
I also took my UltraStar out. I really did carry one for awhile. I banged #17short pin at Vets from halfway down the fairway with it while playing Wolf years ago. The pack went wild! :) I figured they are PDGA legal, so why not.
I'm about to replace my proline Tee-bird L with a Champ T-bird. The proline is very floppy, and flips and cuts right without the slightest provocation. I've tried throwing hyzer flips with it, and well... mixed results. It only flips when it wants to, as the plastic is very flimsy and I can feel it change shape in my hand as it is delivered. too unpredictacle to throw, don't really like pro plastic, replaced with champ.
I also had a mutant Champion Viking. It was at least as overstable as a monster. The biggest arms at my home course could not straighten it out. I anhyzered it over 45 degrees, and it still finished left. Freak disc, it's out.
I usually find a nube on the course with only one disc, and give my un-usables to them.

Im going with Greenbeard , Starfires are out, I think they look like an oversized Sidewinder and fly about the same for me.The L version that is. To touchy

I usually find a nube on the course with only one disc, and give my un-usables to them.
I do the same thing. Often they are frustrated because they don't know enough about the discs that are for sale new and can't control a brand-new disc anyway.
Out of my bag is the TL, a Viking and the Orc. A Leopard and Pro Starfire and Champion Starfire-L are taking their places. Now if I could just find a Starfire-L @ about 170 or 171 I'd be stoked.
I finally threw away that dang Starfire (literally). I couldn't figure out if it wanted to be understable or dive left. I'm pretty sure the one I had was possessed and flew toward magnetic north regardless of release angle or speed.
It now rests in some deep deep gnarl. I'm just hoping I don't find it on my doorstep in a few days.
I've been leaving my beat up rollers at home in favor of a new Sidewinder, but I'm not so sure about that disc either.

Yeah my Pro Starfire is out too. It got too flippy and I love my Avenger now.
The Flicks are out too. With my stable Crushes and my Predators, they don't have much use.
My Flash is out because my Z-Wildcat is the most pimp disc ever. This cat is the disc that kicked the Teebird out of my bag. BTW, I have had at least 1 TB or TL in my bag for about 4 years! It takes a great disc to push those babies OUT!
In the last 3 months i've Dropped my bag down to this:
1x CLassic Aviar
1x Jk Aviar-X
1x Champ Stingbat
1x 1st run buzzz
1x Flat Z-buzzz
1x 11x Teebird
1x Proline MOnster.
Out of my bag in the last 3 months was:
2 DX Aviar(lost)
2 Omega AP(lost)
Cryztal Challenger(replaced by JK and sold anyway)
Crystal Buzzz(don't need many midranges)
CE ROC x-out 2005(dont' need many Mids)
DX Gazelle(lost and basically replaced by stingbat)
Champion Leapord(Only carrying 2 drivers now)
Z-flash(sold all my first runs)
3x 11x Teebirds(All backups and in bag at tournies)
1 CE Glow TB(duplicate)
1 Zxs(no need)
Millenium Sentinel(too many mids)
Pro Aviar(dont need many putters)
I think thats all of them.
I decided about 2 months ago that I wanted less discs becuase I was DOing so horribly that having many discs didn't make a difference.
I went out to tags one night with just a Classic aviar, JK, 1strun buzzz and teebird and shot one of my best rounds of the year.
Since then i've tried to keep it down to:
1 putting putter
1 overstable/driving putter
1 flat/turnover mid
1 flat/stable mid
1 Roller/really flippy driver(which is now stingbat)
1 Teebird
1 Overstable Driver
that's about it.

What's out of my bag?
1. a Budweiser can until hole 4
2. another Budweiser can lasts around hole 7
3. a Budweiser can good to hole 10 if it's hot and 12 if not
4. one more Budweiser can, have to drink it just to lighten my bag.
Cans not bottles!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aviars/Omegas - I just must not be good enough.
Pro Orcs - Ridiculously long, ridiculously touchy, beat too quickly
CFR Glo TL - NOT by choice
155 Champ Viking - It'll be back, I can't stay mad for long.
Champ Banshee - I can't ever remember not having a Banshee in the bag since I started playing, but I just wasn't using it. Keep it around for shorter courses in the future.

Today:
a 175 Elite-X Dyed Talon - Now resides at the top of a 65 foot pine tree(may be taller, but I know I made it up about 30 branches before chickening out.
a 172 First Run Crush - Parked a hole with it. Forgot to unpark the disc when I walked away.
Before Today:
Proline Orc - Just couldn't get the hang of it.
Z-Mrv - Hated the rim on it
X-Comet - Hated the rim on it
JLS/QJLS/LS - Loved these discs, but avengers are more predictable for me.
SE Leopard - Was my goto side arm disc. Now, I have more sidearm control and the avengers do me better.
Oh, and send all Classic Rocs, Champ Vikings, and Pro Starfires to me.

I have something overstable in there that I rarely need throwing lefty, a Talon or a Predator. It is coming out and a 165 gm Quarter K is going in. I was throwing the Quarter K at the football field today. It is the real deal.

What is the expected lifespan of the QK?
A long time as long as you keep it on the football field :DDont hit the goalpost
Out came my Champ Beats, Champ Valks, and Champ Orcs. In went a Pro Starfire, Champ Starfire, and a Champ Starfire-L. Also had the orions and sidewinder hanging around for a while, but they have made their way out too. The quarter K didn't even make it into my bag, way too soft.
EXP, great flight... until I hit a tree. Same goes for my Xclone (which I really liked) it just didnt last.
I'm a big fan of the champion type plastics of todays discs. much more consistant and reliable.
I put a QK in my bag but the edge got chewed up on the buckle inside

Well, Texas does have a few trees. :D I think I will stick to my Crushes! ;)
Over a year ago I took the Champ Beasts out and kept the Champ Valk.s and Champ Orcs. Since then in have gone a Sidewinder and a Pro Orc. Now I am trying to figure what to take out. My goal is to get down to less molds and less discs. (I also carry 1 Champ Monster or 1 Pro Firebird but almost never use them since 100mph headwinds are rare)
Problem is Champion Starfire-L's are now released.... It's soooo hard to keep from carrying a ton of discs :D
Any suggestions? Should I keep Orcs in varying condx and a Sidewinder ... or?

Out- Z Flick. Went back to the Z pred after about 6 months of using the Flick. Still better for forehand shots, but the Z pred is much better all around.

I had a 175 Champion Beast in my bag. I got a Quarter K. The next day, the Beast flipped hard into some dense woods and hasn't come back yet.
Can a disc be jealous?
Will I miss the Beast? Or will the QK make me forget all about it? Time will tell.

Ohhhhhhhhhh.............. From what I hear Dude...........Don't bend the Beak on your Quarter K.
I hear they Grind , kinda quick.
Maybe you have a good one though.
Also , Try a Max weight , Champion Pink Orc , 174 grams. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Out - First Run Pro Aviar and Spider replaced by Firm Wizard
Out - Champ Eagle
Out - DX Eagle
Out - Z MRV I stil haven't learned how to throw my MRV (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=67422&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1)
Out - Champion PINK KC Aviar (left behind at local course ) probably would've been replace by firm Wizard anyway
Out - Champion Banshee I was only using it for one shot anyway
Out - Z Crush Darn thing keeps turning over at inoppurtune moments
Out- 1st Run Z Buzzzz Too expensive to replace so I started using CryZtal Buzz and sold my 1 runs away
Out - My older 4x JK Aviars the newer run of plastic feels great
OUT:
starfire - traded it for a new kc pro gazelle
2 teebirds - traded for oldschool ce valkyrie
quarter k - didn't stay in the bag long
soft challenger - hit a few too many trees
I still have way too many discs in my bag.. I discovered this over the weekend when I only used 7 or 8 discs for a tournament. No sense in carrying all that extra weight around.

Rocs but they've been out for nearly a year now and i still don't miss them, and more recently Pro Starfires are out. Probably the best distance disc in the world. For the first 10 or 12 throws. Then maybe a great roller disc but I dont throw rollers.
