I'm guessing Matt Hall
Probably someone who should be playing in Open :o:D
Serriously, I don't know if Steve Lonhart plans on going? But if he does, he is going to crush the field. :D

Lonart is no doubt a favorite, but there are plenty of us who don't plan on handing him the title and letting him "crush" the field.
You can probably expect some pretty good play for the title from the following states - CA, NC, TX, and the remaining states with participating players :D

Lonhart is good...But it's a week long event, and there is a grip of competition /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

If Chad Hein was playing there, he would win.

Kim Scott-Wood has already declined over $1000 in cash.
I won't even try to predict the winner of AM Worlds, but I will say this. I played with Matt Hall today and he definatley has the game to make it happen. Not to mention he has just come off of a major win at mid-nationals. Look for him to be in contention in Flagstaff.

Kim and Matt are terrific golfers and will compete.
MY PICKS: Jason Bolstead and Kyle McClure, I'm not rooting for them just because they are my homies either...When Bolstead's putting is on he is really tough to beat because he has a long accurate game off the teebox...Kyle McClure has a short game that is always on, if he is hitting his lines he will be contending as well.
Wish I could make it!!!!

I'm pretty sure I heard his name in the "didn't merch but gets a consolation mini" list at Tahoe last weekend.
Not a good sign for Flag. Just like my 10th place finish in OMB at Tahoe isn't a good sign for my goal of cracking the top-10 at Flag. :(

He will pull it together along with Jack and there will be a battle. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I wish I could make it as well. A top 10 at Worlds would be a nice addition to my current resume :D Its just not possible for me this year

Hi Rhett,
I'm disappointed I didn't meet you at Tahoe. It's always nice to put a face to the name. I was turning a bit green by the second round on Saturday--not sure if I had a bad lunch or one of my kids passed along a mild flu-like ailment that was swirling around earlier in the week, and finally hit me in the gut. Almost fully recovered now, though. Spending most of Sunday asleep/in the bathroom was preferable to strapping on Adult Depends and trying to throw (not up).
I heard Dave Haning won AM 1 at Tahoe, and I played in his group round 2. He was on fire, and both driving well and nailing almost all putts within about 40 ft--very impressive. I heard he plans on heading to AZ one week before Worlds to practice the courses. He will very likely be a top contender! And that's great, 'cause he's a really nice guy on top of it all!
Looking forward to meeting you at Worlds. Cheers,
Steve

Hey Steve,
I don't have a good excuse like that. :) But I think I'm kinda glad for that.
I was pretty surprised to hear your name in the mini call, but the story makes it make sense. Good job finishing, I think. Injury and explosive diarrhea are good reasons to DNF. :D
I'll look for you at Worlds.
