Last year we had a great turnout and looking for the same this year. The course will be in great shape. Again this year the format will be from Longs to Short. We will be playing all Championship tee pads the first round and everything will get shorter from there. The last round will include the short tee pads. These are the Tee Pads we use for the Wednesday night minis. We should be finished up very early and get everyone out of the heat as soon as possible. As with all ADGA events there will be plenty water to keep everyone refreshed. Hope to see everyone here!
I will actually get to play this year :) Last year I missed out because of work... This is the first Open tourny I cashed in, so it always brings back fond memories of finally not getting spanked by everyone in my division  I would love to see a good showing this year... Consider this an open invitation to stay at my casa or if I'm packed I can find you a place to stay for any out of towners. I hope to have at least as many in open as we have at our weekly minis, lately with the ace pot that is around 20-25 so come on up or down where ever you are at and come get your *ss handed to you

Ya I wish we could get that many to show up for a sanctioned event, but half of that field plays Advanced in santioned tournaments.
As long as it is dry I will be there to smack those Okies around. :D

I doubt many Okie Open players show up, Hatfield might be there if he's not going to Pittsburg with McCoy...you guys can expect a few Advanced players though.

There probably wont be too many Okies there for this one. There is a JDGF event in Norman on Saturday and the last time there was an event there at VP not one Texan even showed up to play open. So I do not forsee very many open players from OK.

I don't know if any Okies will be down this year. JDGF is having a one day c tier in Norman. Even though Arlington is my favorite place to play I can't skip out on a one day tournament on my home course one mile away from my house. If FAFF was a B tier and I new there was going to be more then the 6 open players that showed up last year, then I would of had to drive on down. Hope you all have a great tournament and will most likely be there next year. Can't wait for VPO.
Chamberlain's & Pepperling's, when are you all coming up? OK States?

Sorry it has took me so long to reply Dannie. I really don't know when we're coming up. We've only traveled to one tourney this year (TWC which I obviously didn't play) and I've only managed to play one . We might just have to meet at the casino :D.
To everyone else.........don't fear the heat, I only used 1200 pounds of ice last year to keep water and all the soft drinks cold for 2 days, so it can't be that bad ;).

Jason did an excellent job of keeping water on the course. So, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE HEAT.
I would play, but I am flying my girlfriend in and hoping that she will be wearing a flashy ring on her left hand after that weekend!

another one bites the dust!

If she already had it, I would be playing. She encourages my habit and has accompanied me at McKinzie Park in Lubbock. Oh well, one week for the great good of many!
Get her out playing instead of just accompanying you. :D

Players list update please. :D
OK, I am curious what the field size if looking like. How about a head count for the Intermediate division? And while your at it how about a head count for the Pro division for Boobs.

Ya and two of them were from that state with all the big arms. :D
I don't know if there is a players list  I will be playing if more than one other open player signs up... If not I am going to be playing poker and cooking some BBQ :o

Thinking about heading down.
Hey Eric,
Would love to have you come down for the event. If you need a place to stay, I am sure we can find someplace for you. Give me a call.
Players list will be updated soon and posted to the tournament link in the PDGA Tour page.
Remember doubles tomorrow from 3-6 pm and I will be taking registrations at that time. I will also be taking registrations on Saturday morning from 7 til 8:30. Do not be afraid of the heat! We will have water coolers all over the course and plenty of drinks available at TD HQ.
I am hoping the rain today will keep the temps down this weekend...
Scores are posted at the PDGA tour link. Nice weather! Thanks to everyone that came out to attend this event. I hope you had a good time. Too bad there were other events going on or we would have had a good field.

LOL...
Well I think the Sunday mini has averaged double what the turnout was.
Glad I had a Statistics test today and could not play. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Congrats to JD for taking down Nolan, I can't believe he was the only one to get double digits on the short tees.

I've played (DONATED) Open and Open Masters for the last 2 years at tournaments that were pro only weekends. Never cashed, never had to make a decision. I can't even beat Dennie! We can't all be superstars like you Chris.
