Ok Mabey this is just because of the players in my local area but I am a Teebird Junkie, I carry mostly Champ T-birds close to max weight & love the results out of them, everyone that I play with says t-birds are a thing of the past & i'd better start using new plastic??

#1 are these going out of production or something?
#2 if they are not is there some basis on what they(locals) are telling me?

Just curious here in Ohio

Nope, the locals are just into the faster longer drivers.

Teebirds won't be going away any time soon.

Teebirds are great drivers. You can't get the same control with the faster drivers on the market. If you need to put a disc in the fairway, teebirds are the way to go.

I'll have anywhere from 3 - 6 teebirds in my bag at one time.

Jul 06 2005, 11:59 AM
Teebirds will live forever. As for long drivers, I was giving alot of credit for my new found Distance to Starfires, Then went out into a field and threw my whole bag. I found that my birds were flying almost exactly as long as my SL, and SX's. The only big difference: They were straiter. Enless you dont need a disc that flies long AND strait.

Wow, the birds really swept down on that post fast! There were three responses before I could even finish my post! What a troll!

The tee-bird is still the disc for most professional disc golfers because of its consistency. So people have moved to throwing the pro starfire and the orc because they need the distance and lack the capability to see the tee-birds consistency as an advantage over the long flying but less consistent newer distance disc.

Tell the morons in your town to send me thier old TBs. Ill take em off thier hands. No one wants a " Outdated" disc.

In fact, Ill trade Orcs or Beasts or Starfires for them.

Jul 06 2005, 01:50 PM
Yes Chris, Teebirds are outdated and no longer a useful disc. Especially the ones in CE plastic, they could even damage your game. Please send them directly to me at once before your game starts to deteriorate!!! :D

Short answer: NO!!

Long answer:
Something I have noticed in regards to my bag is that the newer ultra long/fast drivers have only made it necessary to carry more drivers. The Tee-birds will always be there.

Are you serious Smokey?

Who's telling you that junk? Teebirds are my main drivers!!

But thanks for the props for the webpage!

What's a Teebird?

Jul 07 2005, 12:48 AM
teebirds are not a thing of the past and most pros that can throw distance can throw teebirds for distance as well.
I've seen Brinster throw teebirds probably 500+ over the tops of trees to an island green.
They are the best driver ever made!
I love them to death and am stocking up on as many of the older stamped (proline) 11x Teebirds i can find.. i think i have 11 now actually :)

scott- also a fan of the kc 11x

do you like the opaque ones or the clear ones? i think i've got a used clear kc sitting around somewhere. i prefer the opaque ones

Jul 07 2005, 03:01 AM
I like the clear ones personally.. They say the clear discs turn out more stable than the opaque(or maybe that's just discraft??) don't remember..

I dont' think i have ANY opaque ones.. but i have 4 more coming so i'll check them..
I"m always looking for used 11x teebirds..

Check my list on Traders row or i'll PM it over to you.

This may be a dumb question but what does "kc 11x" mean?

20460chase
Jul 07 2005, 03:52 AM
KC is Ken Climo. 11x is how many World Championships he has won and also signifies the Teebird in question.

Jul 07 2005, 03:53 AM
KC 11x is usually used for the last run of discs that had the Proline stamp on them(that were of the new champion plastic).
IT says KC proline for Ken Climo Proline
and it said Eleven Time World champion.
the KC 11x Teebird is awesome becuase it was the best Candy they made. The newer Champion Teebirds say Eleven time on them, but they aren't referred to as the same thing.
