Hey Everyone,

I recently purchased a used Talon Elite-Z because it was a good deal and was still in perfect condition. In the past I have only purchased Innova discs because I understand thier rating system and trust in the quality of thier products. The information on Discraft's website about the Talon was a little less than illuminating. I don't really care much for the Discraft rating system.

I am hoping someone on this forum can tell me more about the flight characteristics of the Talon Elite-Z. I would like to know which Innova disc it is most similar to.

I think I would most readily compare it to a Champ Eagle or a nicely worn CE FX.

I am also interested in good or bad experiences that players have had with a Talon Elite-Z.

Does anyone carry one in thier bag and really love it? Have you made a memorable shot with one?

Is there someone who really dislikes this disk and has some good reasons? What reasons?

I won the Discraft Memorial in 2004 as an Adv. player by throwing the Z-Talon for almost every drive. For an overstable disc, it is surprisingly fast and capable of big distance. I also got my first and only forehand ace with one. When they're beat in, they make excellent long turnover drivers and rollers, although, beating in a Z-Talon can take a while.

I really like the low profile, as it makes it easier for me to get a comfortable grip on than a deeper disc. I've heard some people compare it to an Innova TeeBird, which I can't agree with.

Overall, it's one of my favorite discs.

Would an independent rating of all manufacturers based on the innova rating system be helpful?

I think the rate all discs a little slow, but they are consistent.

Anybody else have any experience with the Talon Elite-Z?

Alright, I love this disc!!! It has a nice predictable fade and I seem to shoot my lowest scores when throwing it as my main driver. :D
