Somebody know anything about these two discs from Aerobie (Superflights) , Sharpshotter #1 and #2, they where approved last week by the PDGA :)?
The same design as the Epic or..... ;)?

i have handled a prototype of the sharpshooter.
they have a symmetrical rim shape, so they are not like the epic...
however, they have ridges along the top of the flight plate meant to cause turbulance and slow air passage over the top of the disc to hypothetically keep the disc flying straighter.
it is planned to be marketed as a beginner level straight driver.

Huh...interesting. I thought that those kinds of ridges were one of the things Wham-O held a patent on. But I never researched it and don't remember where I got that from, so I'm probably either confused, misinformed, or both.

the ridges on top of the sharpshooter are quite deep/wide (almost like they were carved out of the disc) and go below the level of the flight plate unlike the wham-o rings that were very thin and on top of the flight plate.
i think wham-o originally had patented it but it expired, as those rings are also found on the lightning #1 flyer.
