These are the top ranked players in the PDGA. I've only heard of a few of them. Is the reason their names aren't on discs because they only play in their surrounding areas?
For instance, John McRay is an incredible player. It just seems that he doesn't tour. I feel that if he did he would be a "household name".
If you guys have any insight, let me know.
Player Name PDGA# State Country Rating Division

Bobby Musick 15911 CA USA 1027 M Pro
Mike Randolph 6138 CO USA 1025 M Pro
Brad Hammock 5912 GA USA 1025 M Pro
John E. McCray 9852 FL USA 1023 M Pro
Walter Haney 6001 NC USA 1023 M Pro
David Feldberg 12626 OR USA 1021 M Pro
Mike and Walt both have real full time jobs that don't allow them to travel too much. Plus Walt has a wife, and Mike will too soon.
Mike's been with Discraft pretty much since they started making golf discs. He still throws really old school plastic. There's not much of a tournament scene around Denver and he's got other things to do than disc golf.
Walt's travelling is limited to pretty much the Carolinas and Virginia -- anything within reasonable driving distance of Raleigh.
And all of them have their name on discs... just their own discs ;)

I live in Cali, and I have heard of all of them, and met most of them. The ones I have met, ahave all been great people.
We see most of those names at NT events like the Masters Cup.
The reason you don't see all of them on production discs, yet, is that we are still a young sport. There's not enough room so to speak.
Kenny & Barry have their names on discs. Ken has several, and desrvedly so.
For Hammock, Rico & Feldberg, it's simply a matter of time :D
Get yourself to one of the NTs, and you'll see most of them. Get to USDGC, and you may see all of them ;)

I have a few Demons and Wizards with a John E. stamp...but I do agree, if he ever toured...he'd be unstopable for sure!!!

To date, Innova has only issued signature series discs for multiple-time PDGA Open division World Champions: KC, 11x; JK, 4x; BarryS, 2x. (Whether the criterion is single World Championship is an open question: whether Birgitta Lagerholm (2004 PDGA Women's World Champion) will have a signature disc remains to be seen; whether or not Cam Todd would have had a signature disc had he remained with Innova, we'll never know.)
Eligibility for Discraft's signature series discs appears to be either an Open World Championship (Ron Russell, Cam Todd, and, at one time, Juliana Bower) or a world record holder (Scott Stokely).

Don't forget about Timmy Gill. Discraft ran 50 "special" Z-Xtreme's after his NT win at the 2004 Memorial.

Good point, although I don't classify commemorative, limited edition/run or custom-stamped discs as signature series discs. (After all, anyone can order custom-stamped discs containing one's signature, and a fair amount of tournament-stamped discs have the artwork/logo's designer's name/signature embedded in the graphic.)
IMO, the designation "signature series" applies exclusively to regular production discs that are available through regular retail channels that the endorsing player receives a financial consideration (royalty) from the manufacturer for the right to use the player's name/reputation to promote the disc.
