Since my ce firebird fx was stolen about three years ago, I have been looking for a another disc that has the same speed and fade. Except for another ce firebird, what else is available?

Spirits have about the same stability...but are much faster...not a bad thing, but might not be what you are looking for.

Monsters replaced my FXs they are faster and equally stable.

By that thought, Spirits should replace your Monsters...WAY faster with the same stability...easily gets 30'+ more distance into headwinds than a Monster.

The only problem is that a Spirit feels like crap in your hand. It's strangely stiff and the edge/rim are uncomfortable. I gave my Spirit to my 13 year old. If I want speed and overstable distance, I throw Flicks. The best power forehand disc ever made (IMO).

Look at a Flick...its just a Spirit with a smoother nose...other than that, they are almost identical in shape.

depending on how stable you want it yes flick is the best way to go they have 2 and 2.5 flicks I would choose between those

ok heres the similarity's in life, a venom is exactly the same as an H illusion and the flick is an S illusion. Also Rick chris isnt trying to "sell" his plastic, hes just pointing out a similarity. Then a consumer would have more options. The guy asked whats like an fx, not i want a flick. this thread is open to any disc that would replace an fx. And I would say a spirit would be better cause its slower than a flick, more like an fx, and that's MY opinon. Which i and everyone else is entitled to.

Exactly, its not like I went onto a "Flick" thread and pimped the Spirit there. I try to be really careful on where/how I talk about Gateways products, and I still find no reason why its inappropriate here.
Thanks Will!

WHats wrong with the new Champion Firebird?????? I threw FX's for a long time now just throw the new Champion's. They are FX molds anyway. As for the spirit I tried one for awhile but it got beat up way too easily. Started flipping over within a month. Id say go for the Champion firebird or the discraft flick. Though the flicks that I have thrown are not as predictable. BUt they are faster than an FX
