I realize many of the white disc that are produced are snagged up to dye, but I wish the disc golf manufacturers would make more of them. Any other reasons they don't. I play a couple of wooded courses and it seems like I can see them better.

My friend is color blind and he can see white discs easier. I've never had trouble finding white discs, I ask for them when I want them. But, I would like to find a white Coupe if anyone has one for sale.

Neon colors are pretty bright too !!!!!

Neon Pink , Neon Orange , Neon Green for example.

Some colors pick up light better than other colors in certain conditions. Like Glow discs for example !!!!! :D

I think I know what your saying though. I know some guys , who are color blind and can't see certain hues. I hope thats what your saying!

I like really dark colors in Snow. Black , Purple , Dark Blue , Dark Red .......etc.

On the Grass fields , Bright Orange , Bright Yellows , Electric Reds........etc.

And of course , at the beach , any golf disc that floats.
People are in amazement to see a Golf Disc , launched for a MTA ( max. time aloft) and flaten out , returning to you.

:D

Recreational players NEVER have a white disc when they are carrying just one or 2 discs. Most discs are sold to recreational players nowadays therefore less demand for white discs which equals less white discs.

The moral of the story is;
If you see a stack of white discs in high end plastic, BUY Them ALL!

We make many white discs, in fact we are asked all the time to send more colors.
I personally have 8 white discs in my bag 2 yellow 2 tye dye( which were white) and one hot pink!

The natural progression of a run through a particular mold for us would be white, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green and then black when running our S.
Doing it this way we dont have to stop the machine through the run and we get some cool colors blends between each color. To go back to white at anytime during this run you would have to stop the machine and purge the barrel ( with a purging compound) until ALL colorant was out of it, start the run up again in order to make perfectly white discs.

The profile of injection for E /ce/and Z is so narrow with so little margin for error that it is not very wise to change anything while its up and running good parts; including just changing the color.
We usually have better success running E when they are colored, although our last run of Clear and milky white sabres seemed to work quite well.

I have seen a Brown Stingray , Aviar and minis.

Jun 06 2005, 05:10 AM
Gateway had lot of earth-tone discs back in the proto days. I still have a "Lose-me-in-the-dead-leaves-of-the-NE" brown proto-Warrior, that I lost. And found. About a hundred times. Great flyer. I also have a Air Force Blue/Grey proto-Blaze that flys nothing like later Blazes and is made of plastic that you'd swear was DX by feel, but is helmet hard. I heard this plastic was used in the early days of post-Whamo golf discs. And the digression stops...........here.

P.S. - White discs rule. Especially with understated or no stamps.

As Slayerbill stated, gateway has made some brown discs in the past.

I bought a replacement for my 'beat to heck' Scout online once, my main concern with any disc is weight, so I said "any color", little did I know, I could get a disc the exact color of fallen oak leaves. Lost at Peace Park a month (October) after I bought it. If your interested in a brown Disc, they might be able to help you out.

I always think it's kind of a shame to see a disc in 'H' plastic that's white because the other colors come out so vivid and cool.

I do like it when a couple of colors get mixed a bit but they don't combine and you get a bit of a swirl effect. I just got a Demon that's mostly orange with a few bits of red in it that looks awesome. Unfortunately it will become invisible when the leaves turn and fall this autumn.

I only recall seeing the '75 Whamo World Class 40 & 50 mold, and the Coppertone Girl Fastback in brown plastic. They are rare and a cool color.

I've had (note the word "had") several brown discs. They were all 150 class of one model or another. When you throw 150s you can't always be choosing a color. They actually looked like they were made while the color was being changed. None of them were truely brown. They looked more like a combination of red and blue which came out brown.

My favorite combination is a rainbow hotstamp on a white disc.

I don't understand why white discs are hard to find (for purchasing purposes, not on the course). I have to specifically request for more variety of colors when I order wholesale for our shop otherwise we end up with mostly white discs. And here in Maine, white discs aren't all that popular since you usually can't use them 4-5 months of the year because of snow. People prefer color discs that they can throw year-round...count me among those people.

I throw white discs from April through November and colored discs from December through March.

Nothing is easier to find amongst dense foliage in the spring and summertime, and amongst autumn leaves, than white. And usually any color BUT white will suffice when throwing your disc in snow during the winter months.

I have 2 white Polaris LSs I throw. One is a 161 x-out that loves to S out of an over-powered drive. The other is a 175 that does what an LS does. It goes straight for 90-95% of it's flight then fades. I also have a white comet, but it's about to be replaced with a Buzzz.

But yes, I throw all white discs, and have many backups for every disc I throw.

Oh, and I completely forgot, I have a max weight white dx roc that's nicely holding down the carpet in the corner of my room. Anyone interested in trading can feel free to e-mail me or whatever. Also have a few white wizards(4 ss 168s). 1 is in my bag and the other three sit in a box for putting practice.

Along with that , a Emerald Isle's , 180 gram Roc.

And of course , my putter, 174gram , white , Aviar X.

I would have to agree that white is the best color anytime except winter. I have 5 aviars, 2 beasts, a predator, a wasp and a roc...all white. At one time this was the majority of my bag.(winter is for ice fishing and snowboarding) I used to have a white/glo t-bird.....white doesn't help when you throw them in a river and they float out of reach.
