Since no searches turned up any topics matching this subject I don’t believe this has ever been posted before...If it has it is well worth repeating.

Giant Hogweed is a public health hazard especially for those that spend time outside. If you throw like me, off into the woods/weeds/shule/thick stuff, you need to keep an eye out for these plants. It sounds particularly nasty – worse than poison ivy, poison sumac and poison oak as the michigan.gov web site states. Most public health agencies ask that you report to them if you happen to locate any of it. Just knowing that fact alone tells you how serious this is. A simple Google search using “Giant Hogweed” will turn up dozens of results to links that will describe what it is and what it looks like.

True, but the big difference is how big it can get - 12 to 15 feet tall. Plus the flowering heads are huge as well - a lot bigger than Queen Annes Lace.
