Later this summer you'll want to add the courses at the NDGC to your list. Tree cutting may start next week if the weather bears up with play (hopefully) on at least one course by fall. But there will be lots of tree top cleanup work after the trunks are gone before the fairways are roughly playable.

Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder on the NDGC.
I'm thinking that a week vacation next summer to the NDGC, along with a stop in Charlotte at Renny, would be easier and cheaper than up to remote northern Wisconsin. There would likely be more for the better half to occupy herself with, as well.

Leaving her at the Mall of America is always viable but perhaps expensive while you head to Highbridge. Currently, there are more food places closer to Highbridge than the NDGC. Lodging options and distance away are about even.

Don't get the wrong impression. The Rutgers regulars may chime in on this, but in a few dozen visits to this course over the years, I've never seen anything to get excited about. It's not like there are hundreds of co-eds strolling through the course in bikinis and short-shorts. On a few warm spring days you might see some sunbathers over on the Field holes or by the "Passion Puddle" which is a small pond on campus. But these areas are not part of the regular 18-hole course and are used only for special events with portable baskets.
