I thought this picture a great illustration of how to jump putt legally, and Why you do it.

In this shot Schwe has a 50 foot putt with a moderate ceiling over head.

It's actually a jump staddle pictured here. Seeif you can dop that :D

The jump allows him to get straight forward momentum toward the basket without going side to side, but clearly you can see the disc has left his hand well before he has left the ground, or passed his mark.

Yes, he made the putt

I'm not sure if I'm on the right thread , but I don't even jump putt from 70 out. Do I need to learn the jump putt ?

I can stand still and pop'm from 60 sometimes.
How does it work from 100+ ?
Is that considered an upshot ?

Yeah kinda like a regular hyzer putt but the walk-in jump gives you the power to get it there. :D

Yeah, since I learned the jump putt my approach game has become much more consistent. I even jump putt a few short tee shots on my home courses.
