A few of my buddies and I are planning a DGRT (Disc Golf Road Trip) this weekend and we are planning to head out towards West Virginia, Virginia and possibly western North Carolina. We have all the courses mapped out but we are hoping to get some feedback on which courses are especially worth hitting or passing on.
We are from Chicago and usually go on a DGRT in March when the weather here sucks and we head south to warmer temps. This year we are doing it late because of work, but it gives us change to play some distant courses that are near our latitude. Last year we went to Tennessee which I might add is and excellent disc golf state. Friendly people and lots of elevation change, Waffle Houses are an added bonus too. Don't have them in the upper Midwest. If you are ever in the Nashville area, check out Seven Oaks (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/derusha/index.html) .
I hear the Paw Paw courses in WV are supposedly some of the best in the country. We are planning on heading there first, but if you have any suggestions, please let us know.
If you are ever in the Chicago area out West Park (http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=208)
