I picked up a used XL today that has a Juliana Bower stamp and says Discraft SIgnature Series. Any info about this disc would be appreciated. The plastic almost seems like early run Z plastic, but I can't tell. Age? Rare? Thanks.

If it's used it's not worth much. I recently bought a Mint Russell Comet and Stokely XL for $7 each. It's rare that a Discraft will go up in value. The Phantom is one Discraft disc that's worth collecting, still only reaches $20.

Hello,
That XL was produced around 1999 and was part of a Signature Series featuring discs from Scott Stokely, Ron Russell as well as Juliana. They each had two models and they were made from what we called at the time Elite Pro Natural plastic. That meant no color was used when making them. Elite Pro eventually turned into the Elite-X plastic. I forget how many were made but not too many that's for sure.
I've got a couple with her RV stamp, and signed by hand with a Sharpie (she puts her name and PDGA # on them).
Don't know if they're worth anything; but its cool that they're not in production anymore, have a personal stamp, and are signed.
anyone know what the most valuable discraft discs are??? i know there are some nice proto wasps and challengers floatin around.
I have some super light phantoms from the 1984 worlds. Not sure if they're valuable or not. There's a Juliana Bower XL signed by Juliana Korver a couple years ago in the collection. That's fun.
I also have an old "sticker" magnet, and a pre-patent cyclone, but I think these are only valuable in a nostalgic sense.
The newer stuff is collectible to throw. Like the first run wasps, buzzes, and the challengers with the date on them. Fun, fun, fun. :D

I actually found 2 first run Z-Buzzz's at a local toy shop. I bought them for only $15 a piece, I have yet to find them under $20 on ebay.
I also know of a person that is selling them to me for $10/ea, as many as I want. It is good to know people in high places.

i picked up a max-weight z-storm from ron russell at the msdgc last summer.... 10th anniversary tour stamp and sharpie-signed. from what i heard about him now getting off the tour, im wondering if the value of that is gonna go up. it took me over 8 months to find another z-storm that weighed in over 150g, too, but i never wanted to throw the RR one
for what it's worth, now that ive thrown a 170's z-storm, it's a GREAT midrange driver :D

anyone know what the most valuable discraft discs are???
The more valueable Discraft disc's would be the proto Phantom from the '85 Worlds, black Phantom's oily tops, Phantom +, Phantom + Light, Deuce, and the Sky Streak. The '83 Worlds Sky Streak may be the most expensive in this group $30, the rest go for around $20 each.
Now compare that to a Innova '83 Worlds Eagle or the Shuttle Puppy, both are over $100.
I have some older Discraft form the late 70's that remind me of the CPI disc, but I don't recall the mold name. Has Kenner and some girl on the stamp. I paid $20 each. I've probably got over 200 Discraft disc's in my collection.
I should have bought more SM Roc's than buying any Eclipse, Cruiser or Shadow at the time.
I don't follow any on the newer Discraft disc's, so I can't say what they are going for. Good disc's for playing.
hey crom- what did the 10th anniversary stamp look like on the Z-storms?
I have a never thrown, early run XL with a custom stamp (only 100 made) that is also Jaybird dyed. Bruce sold it to me for only $10. What a sucker!

I won a raffle at PAW 2000 and recieved the entire Signature series 31/100 these are signed by Stokly, Russle, and Juliana. They are not the hot stamped w/signature but have a line on them for the 31/100. I consider this very rare as only 100 sets were ever made and hand signed and how many are still intact whole sets.

Mine says "Event Winner" too. I'm sure either one of these discs would go for $6-$8 at any well attended auction.
As to my $5,000 price, I'll take Canadian.
