I'm heading to yellowstone next week and am looking for high quality courses from southern arizona to yellowstone.
Does any one have ideas on what to play....?

There's a course in Moab that I hear is great, never played it.
There is a MUST PLAY course at Solitude Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon just South East of SLC - if the snow is gone from the MT the course should be up. Buy a $5 lift tik to ride up and then you play across and down the ski-slopes - the last hole is 1219ft straight down a double black diamond - just awesome!
There is a 9-hole at Bicentennial Park in Provo that has a nice alternate safari set-up for the back 9 and a weekly random doubles that is on Wednesday's (I think). Some natural springs come into play and it's right on the base of a mountain - beautiful place.
That's all I know of out in Utah - I think that there is also a decent course about 45 min North of SLC that I didn't get a chance to visit last time I was out there.

assuming you are starting in phoenix go north to flagstaff. play thorpe and the college campus course (northern arizona state?), then go up into utah. go through kanab north on hwy. 89 to hwy. 20 west to 15 north, go to provo and play the 15 hole bicentennial course, quick and easy course to get to off the freeway, if you have time do rock canyon but youll need a map for that one, or spotters, then go north to creekside park in salt lake city, right now the best course in utah, the solitude ski resort course is closed due to too much snow.....from there it depends which way you go, if you go north on hwy 15 to the west yellowstone entrance then you can play bengal ridge in pocatello, ID. a must stop for adv./pro players, bring extra water, then you can go north to blackfoot, ID, and Idaho Falls where there are a couple of courses worth stopping to play....after that i dont think up hwy 15 there is another course until montana.

Camelot Adventure Lodge Disc Golf Course (http://camelotlodge.com/adventures/discgolf.html) outside of Moab, UT is a worthwhile experience if you want to escape boring green trees and lawns and play a truly challenging, yet highly fun course. With balanced rocks, slot canyons, daunting redrock slabs, and an outrageous view of the Colorado River and the Canyonlands area, this is not your usual disc golf outing. You can event hire a camel as a caddy! Call owners Terry and Marcee Moore for directions and information on the road conditions out there. It's pay-to-play and you should bring lots of water this time of year (temperatures over 100 now).
Creekside Park in Salt Lake is worth a play. Water in the creek is really high right now. Bring plastic to donate to the river gremlins.
Solitude is not yet open for play. Check the Team Utah Disc Golf (http://teamutahdiscgolf.com) site for contact info on this course and Creekside.
Jensen Grove Park, home of the course in Blackfoot, ID is under repair at the present time. New sprinkler system and grass. The baskets on this 9-holer may be back in a week or two, but that depends on readiness of the grounds.
Bengal Ridge, Pocatello, is worth a round, but wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring water, here, too, as the course is dry and there is lots of elevation (read hiking) to be traversed.
Freeman Park Disc Golf Course, Idaho Falls, is a rambling course through a beautiful park right on the banks of the Snake River. It's not unusual to see bald eagles flying overhead as you play here. Just a few blocks off I-15.
Grand Targhee Ski Resort, Alta, WY (accessible through Driggs, ID) has a beautiful 18 hole course, but it may not be playable yet, as they had quite a snow year. Call Jazz Russell at 1-800-TARGHEE for info.
Lake Walcott near Rupert, ID is also a great play, but probably a bit off your route.
Welcome to our little corner of the disc golf world.
Thanks for the info! I got to play both creekside and Bengal Ridge. Creekside was great! Bengal on the other hand was challenging to say the least! Nice course, but very rough.(My wife and kids didn't like the fire ants) Thanks again for the info.
