I've bought a basket, a bag, and tons of discs from them...they usually throw in a beer coozie or a mini or something with an order. Luckily they're located maybe 3-4 hours away from me, so the shipping prices are pretty cheap and always real fast.

I've also ordered a disc or two from www.discgolfvalues.com (http://www.discgolfvalues.com) and had pretty good luck with them also.

Actually, I asked a very specific question that I was wondering if anyone already has experience with. I've already got 56 online vendors bookmarked and I've checked the prices on several. Prices for Gateway bags vary. You can find some partial results in my "Bag Buyers Guide" at "Disc Golf Resources". From what I understand, Gateway raised the suggested retail price of the backpack bag within the last few months. I'd imagine that they would be the first ones to adhere to this new price. Chances are there's a retailer somewhere who's still selling for the old price, which I think is about $100 rather than $110.

I can also personally attest to the fact that they don't always throw in extra discs. IMO, you're better off ordering from Sun King where they advertise that they'll give you an extra disc if that's what you're after.

I also provided 3 of those suggestions.

The last order I placed with Gotta Go Gotta Throw (http://www.gottagogottathrow.com/ ) had a scratch-off lottery ticket enclosed. I scratched it off, got 3 bells, and won a $10 certificate, which I just used to buy two new Pro Starfires.

OK, here are the results of my own leg work. I scoured the web for every online retailer I could find, with special consideration for those mentioned here. Then I checked for Gateway bags. I think this may be a fair indication of which sites have the most comprehensive inventory because not all sites even carry them.

As you can see there are a wide variety of prices. Totals vary from $61 to $96. Gottagogottathrow was the best and sounds like high customer satisfaction as well.

I'll add that I didn't include them on my list because I'd either have to take time off work to go to the store or be forced to pay both sales tax and shipping if I ordered online (we're supposed to pay sales tax on everything we order online but that's not enforced.) If I lived out of state I'd probably consider them more seriously.

In other words, this is another vote for using Gotta Go Gotta throw.

Following the research I did I placed my order at Gottta Go Gotta Throw (GGGT), and I'm totally pleased with that company! Their website is very easy to navigate. They had excellent customer service to clear up a question about my order. Their disc prices are great too. I bought a Proline Orc for $8.95, which is about $3 cheaper than our local PIAS. Then the merch was promptly shipped, and they included a golf weight mini and a scratch off card that gives a possibility of winning more stuff. I'm a very satisfied customer!

OK, here are the results of my own leg work. I scoured the web for every online retailer I could find, with special consideration for those mentioned here. Then I checked for Gateway bags. I think this may be a fair indication of which sites have the most comprehensive inventory because not all sites even carry them.

As you can see there are a wide variety of prices. Totals vary from $61 to $96. Gottagogottathrow was the best and sounds like high customer satisfaction as well.

I dont think that the Platypus is out of business. He lives in my town and I was there a couple of weeks ago to buy some discs. While we were there he was packing up wholesale shipments. Maybe he is sticking to wholesale stuff or something, but I know it looked like a full inventory to me. Dont know about the bags though...

I also know that he has always given us great deals and is a wealth of knowledge. He is responsible for much of the local course maintainence and seems like a great guy. I would recommend him. He is a fantastic disc golf community leader.

Jerry at Disc Golf Depot is the real deal. If you are in Portland or anywhere close, this is the guy you should be buying all your discs from. He has the best prices and an unmatched knowledge of the game.

He spent two hours with me. I showed up at his place after making an appointment and he helped me buy the right discs. Then we jumped in my car and drove to the local course for a most educational round.

I bought a few discs from Marshall Street following the recommendation of some here. Specified 1 champion monster, 1 Z Wasp and 1 dx T Bird. Somebody in shipping messed up and my T-Bird came in Champion. WOOHOOO!
