I just wanted to make this official. Bryan Dixon from Ann Arbor is the best disc golfer in the world without an ace. If anyone without an ace thinks that they could beat a 911 golfer, speak up and we'll hold a playoff. Until then, my bud holds the title. :)

About 20 non-paid Aces, none in a tournament.

7 aces, none of which were in a PDGA-sanctioned tournament.
However, one was during weekly random draw doubles and paid $150.

This one is easy.

David Wiggins Jr.

World titles = 1
World Distance records for age group = 2
Aces = 0

I heard at the course today, he got his first ace 2 days ago.

Or are you the boring cash only type.

non-tournament aces do count. Is courtney gonna be up at DGLO? I'm serious about this-It's for a WORLD TITLE :D Salazar do you want in on the challenge? And I do respect the skill of David Wiggins, but I don't think he could beat Diddy.

nope she wont, but she will be at Brent Hambrick and Des Money

You only have to say "I'm from Texas." The "I won't play any out of state tourneys" part is a given after that. :D

May 17 2005, 02:45 PM
Good stuff Rhett. Yea Dixon will have to get down to Columbus this year. It'd probably be a good match for Courtney, seeing as Dixon lost to Val once. (Even tho Millz was her partner and Dixon played Cali)

yeah kinda like saying i'm from the west coast or east coast for that matter. It takes longer to get out of state than to travel across multiple states in most areas!!

7 aces (2 in tournaments, one for cash in a mini)

1st ace in 92 after I had been playing for 4 years

last ace

April of 1999

6 years without an ace is a long time, and i am rated 950

Did you see the King of the Hill episode when the Dallas Cowboys were playing in Arlan TX? At the end of the show Hank is talking to Bobby about the Dallas Cowboys leaving town. Hank then said well if we can't have the Cowboys we will always have the Oklahoma Sooners. That coming from a TEXAS cartoon

May 17 2005, 06:04 PM
I like the episode where Hank and Bobby go to the Cowboy's training camp in Wichita Falls better. Hank says, "This isn't Texas. It's more like southern Oklahoma." Then they drive as fast as they can back to Arlen. :p

Dixon tells me he'll play Courtney at Hambrick. We should play mid-week before the tournament. When is she arriving in Columbus?

gnduke
May 18 2005, 02:41 PM
I think the license plate was just because the locals were trying to spell out the name of the state when addressing their letters and were getting it wrong. They put the instructions on the license plates so everyone would remeber how to spell the abbreviation.

so . . . . . who is the highest rated player without any aces, I'm still curious on this one!

May 26 2005, 02:07 PM
I'm 881, playing for 5+ years, and have never gotten one. Not even in practice when throwing umpteen discs from the same tee.

The closest I've come is when I canned a 200 or so foot fairway deuce on hole 18 at Prompton Dam.

In the words of Jim Norton, "I stink."
