I have read the article on here that is 11 pages long but I still have one question I was hoping someone could answer for me.

1. When using Glue on your disc to make designs is it hard to get the glue off after you are finished with the dye?

2. What is the best type of glue to use brand wise?

3. How much acetone do you mix with your RIT dye and do you wash your disc first?

Was it this (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=223311&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1) one? I seem to recall that aspect being covered....somewhere in there.

Rubber cement is quite easy to remove. Plain ol' 'school' glue is a bit more difficult, but if you have strong fingernails, or the patience to wash it off with water, not a problem. I couldn't say about brand.

Yes wash, dry, and 'mask' any parts you want undyed...the stamp, perhaps, or the 'factory finish'. The acetone/mix ratio depends on method of application, and if you want drips, 'graining,' etc. If you have an expendable disc on which to experiment [same type plastic], so much the better. Good luck!

Again why are you using Acetone? That can and will damage the disc. It's a fact and it has been posted here multiple times. There are other ways to get the colors you want get and research some more.

This is just a helpful reminder.

I agree with Josh, acetone will destroy the disc's surface.

I have information packets, and dye kits available just email me if your interested!!! [email protected] They have a simple easy to use masking technique that will explain how to use it!!!

Good luck!!!
