Does anyone have any info about this tournament? Mainly I'm looking for:

A. Directions and Times
B. Divisions
C. Prices

Thanks!

Doug,
John Cavaletto here. Which way will you be heading north? On I-65 or SR31? Either way, the Iron Horse is held at France Park in Logansport, IN. France Park is located off of SR 24 just west of Logansport. If you are coming up I-65, let me know and I can give you some better directions to save you some time.

They will offer all the divisions that we discussed before the Ross Hills Riot (missed you!!). Off-hand I do not have a flyer with the prices, but it is a C-tier and they will be reasonable.

I noticed you played in Bowling Green this past weekend. France Park is somewhat like Hobson Grove. There are 24 permanent holes with 16 located in the woods (holes are tight and technical with a fair bit of elevation) and 8 holes more in the open. I spent most of the day yesterday weed whipping the fairways in the woods - Tom Woods (the TD) is getting the course in great shape. Tom runs great events at a great course. Check out the 2004 Iron Horse and 2004 Hunters Moon Open results if you are curious about scores at France Park.

PS - I do not know of very many Indiana golfers that frequent this board. There are a few, but not many. Do you know about IndianaDiscGolfers on Yahoo? That is probably the best overall source for IN disc golf information.

John:

Thanks for the info! I was ultra-mad about not being able to go to the Ross Hills Riot, as I was wanting to play in all of the Indiana Summer Series events this year, but my boss called Friday at like 5:10pm and told me I had to go to Michigan on Sunday. Hopefully I'll be at the rest of the events.

I'll be taking 421 to 29 north. I don't know if that helps any, but if not I can probably get directions from someone in town.

So, unless something completely crazy happens with my work, I'll be seeing you in Logansport this weekend. I was thinking about going to St. Louis, but I think based on my play this past weekend I should stick to the smaller tournaments for now.

I am not familiar with 29 too much, I think it comes right into Logansport. You will need to head west on 24 once you get into Logansport. As you are heading west on 24 out of Logansport, France Park will be on your left soon after you cross the long tree-lined bridge.

Nothing wrong with heading out of town for tournaments, but it is sure nice to have that shorter drive back home after a long day of discin'.
