I just wanted to use one of my first posts on this board to say thanks to everyone at the BW3's (Mini Mart) tourny in Bowling Green this past weekend.
This was my first PDGA event, and (even with the sunburn) I had the best time I've ever had playing Disc Golf. You guys rock.

P.S. To those of you who haven't played any of the courses in Bowling Green, I highly recommend any of them. Except Keriakes... unless you're good... well, unless you're better than I am... which you should be... seriously.

Come on man, Keriakes is my favorite course of all time. Elevation, tight shots, mean winds, some big arm distance. It's a great course. Drive 3 hours north to Wilson Park in Mishawaka, or OxBow Park in Goshen. Now those are tough courses. Or you should make a trip to Birmingham. Our course is similar to Keriakes, but without the major wind our is usually 8-12mph and Oak trees instead of Cedar.
Now that you played in a Southern Nationals event, you should come down to Lafayette Lousiana in late August and play in the Southern Nationals Amateur Championships.
Oh, I'm not saying I think it's a BAD course... in fact, it was nice... thus the "unless you're better than me..." disclaimer.
A little background on that day:
1. I played some of the best disc golf in my LIFE to force a playoff for winner of my group. I lost, but only after three extra tied baskets and a CTP. This was at the first course of the day.
2. Second round, I played close to the best disc golf in my life.
Now, after putting everything I had into these first two rounds of the day, not to mention the fact I had played in the three rounds the day before (or I guess I did mention it...), I was tired. I had nothing left in me whatsoever going into Keriakes... but I played (with no putter, that's another story), and shot a +15. I truly think this is the worst disc golf I've ever played in my life. So that's why I made that comment. It didn't really have anything to do with the park as much as my memory of my round at the park :)
Oh well, nowhere to go but up from that round. Overall I think I did alright (for someone with my experience anyway). And I'm not sure that my current skill level justifies going all the way to Louisiana for a tournament, but we'll see how things shape up for me in the next few months.
Overall, great time, cool people, cool courses, and I learned a LOT in the process, which is the most important thing at this point.

<<Edited for clarity>>
Does anyone know when the results for this tourny are going to be posted? I'm getting a little antsy... :p
