I was recently given a 172 dx gremlin. It's only slightly beat, and I really like the way it flies. Haven't able to find any info in this disc tho. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. Thanks in advance...

It's a midrange disc that Innova discontinued several months ago. There is a small but very loyal following of people who swear by the Proline (Champion) Gremlin, though. Unless you want to try and track one down everytime you wear one down too much or lose one I'd suggest using that one until it's gone and then moving on to something else. There are several midrange discs on the market that fly somewhat similar to the Gremlin and are much more widely available.

...such as the Element. I know several people who loved the Gremlin but moved on to Elements. Just a thought.

i was actually looking more for production info, as to whether or not this is a disc ishould retire

i am a member of the small but loyal contingency that swears by proline gremlins, so i may be a little biased, but i don't think you need to retire your dx gremlin. it's a good disc to throw if you like the way it flies, but it's not highly sought after enough to stop throwing it for fear of its loss. if it was a proline, i would say hang it up, sell/trade it or be extra careful each time you throw it near water/woods/tall grass. but that's just my opinion. :D

like the guy before me said.. the DX isn't highly rare yet, but the Prolines are.. I have one and people message me everyday for it so now i took it off my trade list.

Throw it till it gets beat into a roller.. Then throw it some more :)

No one asked you about Rocs. Stop pirating threads and pushing YOUR opinion. Rocs are great discs, just leave them out of threads where people ask about another disc.

Never threw a dx gremlin, but I managed to get my hands on a proline one before they quit making them. I still use it all the time, it seems like it feels the most like a driver out of the midranges off of the pad. For whatever reason though, the roc never felt right in my hands though...classic roc I love, the the original no way.

I'm a big fan. I have at least 5 waiting for me to lose the one that's in my bag now.

Is the Gremlin basically the same disc as the old Ching Sniper? (thought I heard this rumor once?)

I just pulled out my old Sniper and I'm wondering why I ever put it in the box :confused: I just love how much easier it comes off the hand than the ubiquitous deep midrange disc. If anyone knows where I can still get some Snipers or dx Gremlins, if they are indeed similar discs, I would be much appreciated.
