domey or flat, translucent or opaque??

Apr 30 2005, 01:51 AM
flat and opaque

Apr 30 2005, 02:36 AM
if it is flat and off white with sharp flashing its most likely a 2nd run

Usually freaky overstable. :o

"FrankenValk" was the nickname. Overstable and cool. I had a 157 teal one that I would throw into any headwind. They might've come from the Valk mold, but they wharnt no Valks. :)

There were just too many to support the 'pulled too quickly from the mold' theory of anomaly.

Molds have at least three components...one might've been...etc.

These valks fly more like a FIRECHICKEN than a Valk. I can flip and roll ANY VALK except for the 2nd runs. If you have a second run and want to replace it just go but a light weight FIRECHICKEN :D

CE Valks are that shizzznit. Here is a thread with my Valks. The one with the dyed Champion Star is currently sitting at the bottom of a river near Rockford, IL.

You've probally got a 1st run blueberry CE Valkyrie.

But then that may not be what you want to hear and you'll go off on some conspiracy theory and blame Guru because you thought it was a 3rd run or something......

you mean he was personally responsible for the 2nd runs being so overstable? who knew? :D

aren't the 1st runs pretty sweet?

First runs are OK, still a bit overstable.
Proto CE Valks are da bomb, baby!

May 04 2005, 03:55 PM
...still a bit overstable

that's why you can throw it for 5 years and still get the max out of its flight characteristics. my first run had one of the longest flight lifes of any disc i've ever thrown, probably second only to the 1st run ce firebird that's still in the bag. :)

I saw a dredge and three scuba divers out there. Now I know why!

Mikey,

I believe you have a second run Valkyrie, not a first. I also have a blue CE Valk with the 2001 BG Open stamp and it is definitely a second run flat-top. I actually came away from that event with 4 of them (2 blue, 1 white, and 1 red) but foolishly sold 2 and lost another before realizing how valuable they would become.

I'm also quite certain that most, if not all, of the 1st run blueberry Valks that rickb refers to had the ZoneDriven stamp on them. I still have one of those that I purchased in Dec '00 (prior to the second run being made) and it is distinctly more domey than the 2001 BG Open Valk.

I have had two "standard stamp" blueberry 1st run Valks, so certainly not all of them had the ZoneDriven stamp.

thanks Josh, i was thinking it's a 2nd-run. i also have one that matches the one upthread (white w/ green stamp). still in the plastic shrink-wrap i bought it in with a $14 sticker on it OH YEAH.

So, what are blueberry valks currently selling for?

May 05 2005, 04:36 PM
I have a bright yellow CE valk, very flat, non-opaque plastic and it feels like a 2nd run but it doesn't have the dimple you can feel in the center, + it's not stable enough to be a 2nd. Anyone know what run this might be? Plus I'd love to get a couple more.

I've got a standard stamp blueberry with a gold stamp. I also have a blueberry (anyway I think it's a blueberry) with a Hero Stamp from the 2001 world games. Not looking to sell it, but does anybody know what it's worth nowadays?

Just wondering. I've got a 'nude' blue CE Valkyrie with dimples.
Would this be first or second run? It's mint, so is it worth anything?

Ahart sold a blueberry standard CE stamp in February for $150 on Ebay.
