This may have been asked before but what is the best way to take hotstamps off discs?

Acetone, or oven cleaner.

oops or goof off works great also.

Just remember to use just what you need to remove the stamp. Strong organic solvents (acetone and goof off) can damage the plastic.

Acetone works great on Innova Champion. For Discraft you need a sand blaster.

Acetone works on all types of plastic? I want to get rid of the stamp on my Soft Challengers. Will acetone work on these?

I also remember hearing that putting discs in the dish washer will get the stamp off. Does this work? On what types of plastic?

Practically nothing takes the foil off of Discraft's discs. Color max stamps are the easiest to get off. Hot stamps can be a pain.
If you put a soft Challenger in the dishwasher, post a picture when you're done. That could be pretty funny.

What Tafe is saying is true. Discraft hotstamps will come off Z plastic with acetone and some rubbing, but it is hard to get them off X, D and Soft. When you do get the stamp off, the Discraft ghost is a lot more noticeable.

Someone told me that Lysol toilet bowl cleaner works as well.

Goof Off works well for me. I have used it on different manufactures discs and it works fine with a little elbow grease. :DJon P

Gasoline and a match works great. :eek:

Try Everclear if it doesnt work you can always drink it :D

I have found that MEK (Methylethyl Ketone) is very effective in removing most stamps. It also softens the plastic if continuously applied for too long.

Buy your Acetone and MEK from Lowe's. :)
