Well, looking at the top of the rim, where it meets the bottom of the flight plate edge, the 2nd run looks more like a teebird T, where the 1st run looks more like a TL. The 2nd run is supposed to hold a line, esp in the wind (like a teebird T). In limited testing, Ive found my 2nd run to be much more overstable than the 1st run. It also seems as fast or faster than the pro SF, but with less glide and more overstable. What do yall think of this disc? (My 2nd run SF is 172g).

Is there no one trying these? Iv noticed that i can crank mine with almost no worries of turnover. Like a faster Firebird.

Well I have a 2nd run, and I found out the hard way.

On a 380ft (15ft downhill) very straight hole facing a 35mph head wind I pulled out my Starfire. Knowing that wind this high will flip most discs, I release my Starfire down the left side of the fairway like this / (hyzer). Well in less then 100ft the disc flipped over \ and landed on the right side of the fair way and ended up turning into a roller. It went 20ft short of the pin.

I asked a fellow competitor after the round and he showed me the difference between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd run Starfires because he carried the 1st and 3rd.

It still stays in my bag because it is more stable then my Orc, but faster and longer then my Firebird. But thrown flat with no wind, it takes alot to turn it over but it comes back nicely.

I'm throwing the CFR Starfire I got at USDGC. It is overstable with lots of glide. Anyone have one they wish to trade?? I have a stack of san marino rocs. :D

Um...Dave Dunipace has said that there are only 2 runs of CFR starfires.

Eh, well either way. Mine did not look like his two. And mine does not hold as well in a head wind.

That might be the first run then.

The first run is not as stable as the second(current) run.

There is a third run, but that is the "pro starfire" mold.

I'm glad I'm not throwing those anymore...I liked mine from back before I threw Gateway, but with all these mold retools and such, I would be SO frustrated...as is my buddy who liked mine when I gave it to him and has been searching for replacements...
