I was wondering if anyone that owns a Flash could give me your experiences with it. I have read that it really churns out some distance on a flat plane of flight. The rim kinda feels like a Orc to me but I have a hard time throwing the orc straight. I was wondering if the Flash was easier to through on a straight path.

I've just began throwing the flash, and understable distance driver I would say like a Valkyerie in stability, but like an orc in distance. I throw a hyzer flip for distance and am beginning to like this disc a lot, but like i said im just trying it out. Also rollable right out of the box if u have a good arm.

Personally, it's the longest disc in my bag. Beats out the Crush, Orc, and Pro Starfire. I replaced my Beast w/one, and I feel like I get more reliable results w/the Flash. It's definitely no use in a headwind, but will glide forever when thrown properly.

Ditto,
Although I had to take mine out of the bag since it flipped too much and became an unpredictable roller. Great disc for those with shorter (distance) arms.
I have a relatively weak arm (275-300 are my top drives) and I have found the Flash to be my most reliable disc for distance. I have a 171 that flies really well, kind of like a Valk with more glide. I have a 166 Champ Orc that just does not fly as reliably far for me. I have been really pleased with the Flash.
Could you compare this disc to the Innova Sidewinder? I just got one of those and love it. Do they have a similar flight path?

I guess it has similar glide to the Sidewinder, but the Flash is definitely faster & more overstable.

how similar is the rim to a crush, I noticed the starfire's isnt vertical but rather at a slight angle, and gives me better grip.

I like them because I can mark out the "F" and "L" and I have my own Discraft product- The "ASH".
Oh yeah, they also go a long ways /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
they are quite similar, with the flash being just a bit more stable with a more predictable fade at the end of its flight (if thrown properly). i like the sidewinder's rim more because it feels closer to a teebird in my hand. :D
The flash is among my favorite drivers, but some fly better than others. I don't really like the first run ones, as they are more overstable than newer models. My best flash is a 166 g, that when thrown properly and flat will go over 400' every time. The flash is flippy at high speed so you have to hyzer-release it a bit. I still think my pro orc is longer, but the flash is a close second. Very good disc.
I want to get a 166 or 165 Flash but I have not been ablel to find one locally yet. I may have to order one.

The Flash for me gets great distance when thrown correctly but is not a very forgiving disc. Compared to other disc (Beast, Orc, TeeBird) it is not as consistant. For me, RHBH, if I throw a Flash with to much snap or on an anhyzer angle it will never comeback and dig into the ground. It has roller potential for this reason. For me the flash is even worse than a Valk with these types of throws.
