Hey all. I met someone on the course today with an "Innova Champion Classic Roc" dated from 1995. It looked like a great disc and he offered it to me for 13 bucks plus my E-Wizard. Well I did it. How was the trade? Its in ok condition. Its only a 167g so thats not good. What is this worth?? Thanks.
Sorry dude, the classic roc is not the famed big roc. Does it have the wings on it? They also reissued that disc. If it was mint it might rival the cost u paid to some collecter, but prolly not. Get another wizard. try the soft or even supersoft for putting. The E (Evolution) is champion equivelent (more expensive than regular). very durable plastic especially if you use it for short drives.
eeek. that sucks. well I do like the disc alot so I guess it was worth it then.
Im not sure I want another wiz though. It was very stright for me though.

Hate to say it, but from your description it sounds like a plain-jane Classic Roc of recent vintage rather than an original "Wings-n-Rings" Roc. I don't have a current CR handy, but as I recall, 1995 was the year the CR was reissued. I DO know that the "Wings-n-Rings" Roc was renamed the "Classic" Roc when it was reissued and they incorporated the year into the updated hotstamp, so it's highly doubtful that the disc itself dates from 1995. DX Classic Rocs go for around $8; Proline for around $12.
ack. thanks. It does have wings and rings though. if that means anything.

Unless it was yellow/orange in color with a green stamp it is probably only worth about $4 used.
What was the problem with the E wizard?
They're awesome approached discs, especially in windy conditions!

Does it have the word "classic" on it?
Nothin was wrong with it. Absolutely amazing disc. But it taco'd quick for me. 3 trees and it was messed. Thats why I traded it. Im still debating whether or not to get another wizard because Im starting to master my aviar.
It does say classic on it.

The hotstamp doesn't tell you anything. The reissued Classic Roc has an updated version of the original "Wings-n-Rings" stamp. If the "1995" on your CR is embedded in the hotstamp, the odds are virtually zero that you have a "Wings'n-Rings" Roc, and if the plastic isn't stiff and slick, the odds are virtually zero that it's more than a couple of years old.
