I, well just yesterday, bought a DX Archangel and Pro Starfire. Both do very well.

I like the archangel because of it's 6 glide.

But what amazed me is the Pro Starfire (i know there are other threads about it but i wanted to include my Archangel). It really is a great combination of speed and glide.

I reccomend them both to everyone, i was using an orc and a banshee before and i'm not a very big arm thrower, i actually drive sidearm and can do fairly well, over 300-350 for my second season playing (i played last spring).

I was wanting some feedback from others who have or are using them. Thanks. (i'm new here so i haven't exactly got accquainted with everyone also)

Well, the archangel will glide nicely, but it can't handle a very strong throw. As your arm develops, you'll find that the archangel will be harder and harder to throw straight. The starfire on the other hand should work great no matter how strong your arm is.

Now i heard they made candy archangels which i always wanted to throw but i do believe that the Pro Starfire is the farthest flying disc on the market as long as there is no head wind.

I use candy archangels for distance forehand and they work well but you still can't overpower them. But when thrown right those babies glide forever!!!! I tried a dx archangel once and it was too flippy. The candy ones are alot more stable. I think innova is still offering them for CFR discs.

Candy Archangels are MONEY for forehand distance with accuracy, have heard great things about the pro starfire, but no test flights yet. Used to throw a dx archangel forehand.

I throw a lot of forehand as well. I am amazed you can use a DX Archangel without the thing flipping over (I suppose you throw with a lot of hyzer (left side up for a RHFH)). Im curious to know if you can throw this into the wind. I primarily use very overstable discs (Monster, Firebird, Banshee) and throw them with a little anhyzer to get distance and accuracy. I can only throw about 350 ft., but I think thats because Im 50.

I actually mainly use my starfire for driving. I can drive just about 350-375 ft on average (not too sure but i think it is around in there). But that's all i really need for now. If i can get a eagle on a par 5 then that is good enough. I also throw with slight anhyzer. I use my archangel or banshee for approaching now. I am not a big arm thrower and i am not a good backhand driver but i can usually get good accuracy when i use it approaching.

I agree , Once youre arm develops more, you will turn that arc angel every time. :p
