Anybody know what the best way is to make a putter softer? I bought a Lightning Rubber Putter(I know, mistake) but given the name "rubber" I expected this thing to have some flex to it..I think some of my Z discs from discraft have more flex...is there anyway to make it a bit flexable/weaker/softer/whatever you want to call it?

legal ways...
leave it in the sun... beat the crap out of it (e.g. spike it into a parking lot 79 times, throw it into a tree or other hard object repeatedly, etc.).
if left in the sun, won't the colors fade? and then the stiffness return in a few days
Doesn't flexing a disc repeatedly soften it up? I have seen it work with a rubber putter I found.
the flexing method worked a little, then i wanted faster results and almost bent the disc.

Well here's my professional advice... don't do that then. :p
a little too late, i already did that method again, and surprisingly i leveled the bottom out again
Use it alot.
All my SB DX Aviars become soft after a few months of use.
I don't like the feel of the Rubber Putter, good luck.
It will definitely get it's use this month..tournament this weekend and then the 23rd I am going to 8 courses in one day, plus I'm throwing a lot of recreational because the weather's too nice to stay in. However, I'm already looking for replacements, mainly due to durability issues. The one's I'm looking at: X Soft Challenger, Soft or Supersoft Wizard, Pro-Line Rhyno

Just a waring, the Soft Wizard doesn't really have much flex at all. I have a new Super Soft that has a bit more, but still not nearly as much as the Proline Rhyno. I understand that they break in to be more flexable, though.
I've tried a prototype Ching Juju Supreme in a TPU blend of (Champion/Z type clear plastic) that's very flexable and very durable. You may want to keep an eye out for that whenever it gets released.
The local vendor will have some supersoft wizards and some rhynos on saturday to see how flexible they are, but won't let me putt with them. :(

But the really great thing about soft and super soft Wizards is that the rim is still stiffer, but the flightplate is soft. This makes a world of a difference on how the disc feels in the hand. You can get that nice soft putter feel, but still have a good enough grip to putt the darn thing!

If the disc is durable enough to withstand it...play a little fetch with your dog with it. I have an champ aviar that I throw for him over the winter and it is getting really soft.

some glow aviars have alot of flex already in them. and the JK Pro Aviars have a bunch as well. Try them out Justin.
Thanx for the advice everyone, I'm gonna need to start making a list, lol. Justin, are you going to be at Windy Water on Saturday?
