I applied for membership 3-4 weeks ago and have not recieved my membership card/disc/whatever they give you....how long does it usually take? I only ask because i have to bring this card to a tournament i am playing this weekend or else i will have to pay an extra 5 bucks (the only reason i joined was to not have to pay this fee)

Contact Administrator (http://www.pdga.com/contact.php?a=sf&contact=Administrator). Try that link to get the scoop straight from the source.

TDs get an up-to-date member list the week leading into the event, and that will probably have you on it even if you don't yet have your card. Also check the membership page (http://www.pdga.com/members.php) and search for yourself because that also might be updated with your membership even if you haven't received your card yet.

It can generally take 4-6 weeks to receive a membership package, depending on how you processed your membership (mail vs online) and how busy the distribution house is.

Be patient. I'm quite sure you won't have to pay the $5 fee this weekend.

great....thats what i wanted to hear, in the paper i've got it says "this is a pdga sanctioned event, non-members will have to pay 5 dollar non-member fee. Members must have their current membership card at time of registration" i was just getting concerned....im in the membership section and have my number so i think i will be fine.

Yeah, we high paid volunteers, as you well know, are just sitting out on the beach, sipping pina coladas, and spending that $3.33 a month like there was no tomorrow! Weeeeee! :o :D:p

As was mentioned above, don't worry. If you sent it in, they have it and are processing it. The list of current members will be sent to the TD's of upcoming tournaments the Wednesday or Thursday before the tournament weekend. I got that letter too, but they were sent out to all members whose membership/renewal hadn't been processed as of 2/28/05. It was sent out as a reminder to help you. Just stay calm and it will be ok.

That must be the Readers Digest condensed version of the typical post from Nick. Definitely good for saving bandwidth, and sums up what he normally says quite well. :D

The letter asking for renewals was automatically generated from a list of current members from last year. Approx. 4,000 were sent to our fulfillment office, and in turn sent out. This process took 2-3 weeks, and in the meantime, several people have renewed. Do not be alarmed, all is fine.

As far as World's Invites are concerned, the Pro's are in the mail and should reach their destinations next week, dependent on distance from Alpharetta, GA. The Am invites will go out the end of this week, or beginning of next week.

Hope this clears up some questions.

hmmm....i wonder who in alpharetta is doing them.
