I started off playing with of course and aviar.....
I was getting tired of it so i bought a Birdie about 6 months ago....I love the way it feels and i just love the whole disc itself .....
What do you think of it? (What is your favorite putter?)
I use a rattler, but yeah, a birdie as now designed is just fine as a fat putter.
as a short-range putter, a birdie is a decent choice. but if you're looking for something to use on longer putts and/or short drives, a birdie would not be the best disc you could use, as they are slower and have less carry than an aviar. if you like the feel of the birdie, try an aero, since it has the same "large" feel but is a bit faster. i think grider uses as aero with modest success ;)
modest success? lol. i've seen that guy crush aeros a mile :D(450ish)

Throwing an Aero 450 feet on flat ground? That's pretty impressive if true.

Wasn't the Areo the world's longest disc at one point?

I used to like the Birdies before they put the thumbtrack on them. Sorta like a beach frisbee. Very user friendly.
Sam Ferrans held a distance record with an Aero, I believe. 1989?

Johnny Sias uses a Birdie. white of course. Though I think that he only uses it for approach shots. I believe he uses a roc as a putter. LUCKY 8

I bought a Birdie about a year ago, looking for a replacement putter and approach disc. I tried it for a while, but felt it was toooooo overstable. I swear, it was so overstable I sometimes thought it was going to do barrel-rolls when I threw it.

Sam Ferrans held the world record with a Phenix around 89-92 (?) with 190,07m.
Frank Aquilera had the record with an Aero between 84-86 with 167.88 meters.
