I just picked up a 178 QMS and want to get some ideas what its going to do for me before my first round with it. I heard before that the QMS can handle some power behind it and will not flip like a hawk or a glide. Is this true? And what disc is it's "cousin" or maybe even "twin brother"? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I believe it is very closely related to the Shark.

QMS: The closest disc you can compare it to is a beat DX Roc. It is a strait flyer brand new, and WILL flip with extra snap. I get my best D out of it with alot of spin, not a big snap. They are alot like a putter, only bigger. You wont get alot of distance out of it { like with a Roc} but it will go strait to wherever you throw it. Personally, I throw the opaque runs, and they are slightly less stable then the newer clears. The newest runs are very Roc like and can handle oversnap, but wont fly arrow strait out of the box. The opaque, though costly and hard to find is the better, in my opinion. Excellent, underrated disc.
