I was out playin in Stockton today and the grass is pretty long and on hole 14 I lost a 2004 Glow CE roc that i had literally just ripped out of the sealed bag less than an hour ago, and it made me think, what is the most expensive disc I have ever lost? That is the second 04 glow ce roc that i lost and that sucks but my pre first run ce valk was probably the worst.....whats yours?
My fly-dye Beast..... 1st time at Winthrop right into the lake...It was 17.99 so i mean it wasnt TOO bad

I have a glow champion ROC with the star stamp on it that I found in a lake. What would that be worth? I'm not going to sell it so be honest.

1st run bluberry CE Valk, stolen from under the basket on hole 9 at the 2002 ElDo Open when I was warming up before the first round with a group and we were all throwing multiple drives. I pinned it and someone picked it up before we got up the fairway.
I lost a 2001 CE Roc at Z-Boaz once, but a guy from the message board tracked it down for me and mailed it back. :) I had left it in the field there by the parking lot when I was warming up. I was crying about it on DISCussion and a guy says "I think my friend found that and is throwing it."

WORD!!!! :D
The most expensive disc I have lost is a 13-18 dollar (depending on who you buy it from) Pro Line Beast. Luckily (and unluckily) I started disc golf after the CE production runs.

Maybe you will get lucky and it will come back to the bag for you.

1st Run CE TL
First Run Champion Orc,
Would be useless to me now because it was a 161g. But that is the only disc I have ever lost. I do not play around alot of lakes, and I search diligently for my discs.
I did find a 2003 Champion Glo Roc once. It was a guys' from Nashville who lost it before a tournament at our course. I knew it was his from the initials and the fact that he whined about it the entire day. Mainly because it was windy that day and he had scored 4 prior aces with it. When I returned it he gave me two new candy discs for it.
original super roc....and many ce plastic discs..

$30 Blue Champion TL. First and only throw. Vanished. Hyzered into the woods, looked for 2 hours, nobody else around to take it. Basically I was in a wide open field with some woods on the side. Never saw it again. Sniff.

10x Roc 172g, I had been playing disc golf for about 2 months, and decided I wanted a KC Pro Roc for a midrange. While 11x's had come out, the store had a couple 10x's which were the only ones in the weight i wanted. Loved that disc for about a month, until after a perfect drive I lost it under the leaves. Didnt know they were that coveted at the time lol
175 Original Q-Omega.. not the new Qmegas... Turnover into a lake(Buzzy's in Westmilford, NJ about 20mins from warwick).
at warwick hole 15 s-s i lost 2 11x Teebirds in a matter of a month or 2. Clear blue.. Clear... Then lost 2 Champion firebirds playing s-l :(
At Landis park in VIneland i lost a BB Classic Aviar and a Brand new 180 DX Roc underneath the basket of 11 when it was getting dark.. Some ghetto kid on a bike stopped and stole both discs. :(

Proline Gremlin last September. I was told the TD would be fishing discs out of the pond after the tournament and contacting us but I never heard back. After that I decided to stop throwing them.
2 ce valks, 2 proline Gremlins, 1 of each were lost on the same day on the same round. Both had my name on them and it was at my home course and I never got them back!!!

My worst loss, wasn't really a loss, but i cracked my 9x kc aviar on a tree this winter.
My friend though threw his 1st run CE valk that he had 11 aces with into a nasty pond - went in after it when it was about 40 out and still didn't get it. needless to say he just quit and went home after that.
On a cost-per-disc basis, the most expensive disc I ever lost was a Z-XS. While on vacation a few years ago I played at at a little course in Provo, UT, where I threw threw my favorite and most expensive disc over a small pond. It made it over the pond but of course hit one little skinny tree on the far shore and managed to roll back down into the murky depths, disappearing forever.
On a cost-per-throw basis, my most expensive loss was a DX Stingray. Although it only cost me $8, it disappeared forever after the one and only drive I ever made with it. This was on hole #1 at Hoover/Hambrick in Columbus. Four of us searched for 20 minutes or so and never did find it. Strange...

'87 Shelly Sharpe, now the Memorial, small diameter Roc. Lost in the river at VDC. A guy was playing in Vegas years later with it, he wouldn't give it back. Being that long I didn't argue.
I've broken some nice discs that we're worth more.
I lost a nine time roc in Madison about 3 years ago. Not the most valuble disc in terms of dollars, but it once belonged to a fallen friend of mine. Wish i could find that thing. I doubt that the person that has it reads this board, but it is a nine time roc with a red stamp, says HOMMIE on the bottom. I would pay a cool franklin for that friz-b.

Well I haven't lost too many on the course that were very expensive, but I did lose my entire bag once. It had 1 CE Eagle, 1 CE Valk, & 1 CE Leopard, in addition to many other personal faves. Well I didn't really lose the bag.... Someone decided to steal my car on a Sunday night/Monday morning, and my bag happend to be in the trunk!

I had that same problem with my Mach lll basket. I loaned it out for a tournament, the guys truck got stolen along with 6 baskets.
:( :( Saddly enough i also would have to say my 04 Glo was the most spendy piece of plastic i have lost, but i did get to throw it for about 8 months before i lost it :(

The worst part is, i didnt know if i was going to actually keep it in my bag (wanted to see how it flew for me first) so i didnt put my name on it.........so stupid :(

first run ce eagle
Lost more CE discs than I can remember ... at least 5 CE Valks, 2 - second run CE Teebirds, CE Firebirds, CE Eagles, a CE Leopard ...
The most expensive one had to be the Fly Dyed CE Valk from the USDGC (2000?). That was a VERY sweet disc...
I'm the king of losing discs! Needless to say, I have a bag full of dx discs now...

how about a box of Champion Edition valks. stolen out of my trunk in 2001.
Worst loss on the course was a 161 gram CE firebird fx CLEAR
I don't know for sure, I lose nice discs all the time...
Maybe a star stamped red proto CE Valk that I threw into the water 10 seconds after saying "I probably shouldn't throw this, it'll just turn over and go into the water..." and it did :(

2nd run CE Valkyrie brand new...
*SIGH the good ol' days
ce valks, ce eagles, ce leopards, and i just lost my FAVORITE disc out of my entire bag- an original pro firebird
Last year was a bad year. It started with a 2nd Run Yellow CE Valk at the 3rd Buckhorn Open. Then a 1st Run CE eagle at the 3rd March of Dimes. Finally White 2nd Run CE Valk with the 2001 Bowling Green Open stamp on hole #11 at the Beast at the 2004 Waco Charity Open. :(

2nd run CE Valk.- probably a couple of those.
It sucks to lose a good disc, it causes a shell shock type of reaction. When I lost a sweet CE valkyrie at de la veaga, I went home and took all ce out of my bag. Luckily, it was returned three months later in portland by an honest soul. Since Ive tentatively began to rethrow the good stuff. But I still start to get nervous throwing any disc I really like due to fear of loss. It sucks to not want to throw something that you really like out of fear of losing it. Like my first ace disc is a sweet 2nd run valk that doesnt see use anymore due to this fear.
10x Teebird. And it was a lighter (168), which made it that much tougher to replace.
My sweet dyed Kc pro aviar....man that thing was priceless!

I lost 3 first run CE VALKS, 2 first run CE TEEBIRDS, and 2 first run CE FIREBIRDS(FL's) in the same pond over a 4 week period of time. The CE plastic had just come out, and cost a measly $8 for club officers ($8ea. was the bulk cost from the manufacturer). Four of the seven discs came back to me one year later.
is there no lay-up option on that hole??
my worst loss is a fly-dyed 2nd run ce valk that i gave to a buddy 3 years ago because he needed a fast, stable disc and i hadn't found a niche for it in my bag yet. he's still throwing it to this day, and rubs it in during every round we play together.
I've lost some SE TLs, CE Valks, CE Leopards, but this was before they were valuable discs.
I lost a first run Firebird FX, a 2nd run Valk, a 1st run CE Classic Roc, and a Champion Cobra with 3 aces on it (valuable to me at least)

I lost a cool American Flag Dyed CE Valk in the water during winter. A New player insisted on wading out in the water for about 1/2 hour to retrieve it for me...he was rewarded with a new disc of choice and still gets discounted pricing.....since then I try to use replacable plastic and keep the sweet ones at home in a box or on the wall. It means throwing something replacable and that rules out alot of the high end stuff....
