Its a great roller.

Mar 22 2005, 07:40 PM
Im not really into the whole rolling thing...Probally because i suck at rolling... how does it compare to a ROC?

Mar 22 2005, 07:44 PM
I guess you guys must play on wide open grass courses to roll discs. I play at courses that have sagebrush and yucca everywhere. You'd probably get 20 feet before you roll into a bush of some sort.

Mar 22 2005, 08:43 PM
I love them. I own many Pro Line Gremlins. They are much like an overstable Roc. The lighter weights are great for short anny shots while the heavier Gremlins are good for almost any shot within 200 ft. Their glide isn't as great as a Roc, but they are pinpoint accurate.

Mar 22 2005, 10:49 PM
the gremlin is actually not so easy to find now because they are out of production. do you know any cheap places or the cheapest place for disc is? (To find the Gremlin)

Mar 22 2005, 10:52 PM
Try a Panther if you like the Gremlin/Sniper but can't find them.

Mar 22 2005, 10:52 PM
The DX can be had at reasonable prices still. The Pro will never be "cheap" again, unless they re-run it. You might try discgolfvalues.com, as he may have some X-outs.

Mar 22 2005, 10:53 PM
I have thrown a panther and i really dont like the feel. but thanks though..

Mar 22 2005, 10:55 PM
This might be a dumb question but what does the X-OUT mean? Does it mean that something was wrong witht he production>?

rhett
Mar 22 2005, 10:57 PM
You mis the bead that much?

How about a Puma?

Puma = Panther with ThumbTrac
Gremlin/Sniper = Panther with bead

We still need a beaded ThumbTrac'ed Panther. :)

Mar 22 2005, 11:00 PM
Who produces the puma>? I might sound a little childish but i really like to stick with Innova. For some reason all the other brands i have thrown i hate.

rhett
Mar 22 2005, 11:11 PM
They are all Innova.

Mar 22 2005, 11:14 PM
The Puma has to be out of production though.... It isnt on the Innova disc list now....Thats why i asked

rhett
Mar 22 2005, 11:31 PM
Well then.....nevermind! :)

Mar 23 2005, 12:19 AM
I need to find somewhere to buy this. If i buy it online i will end up paying as much for shipping than the disc. Do you know where i can order disc and get free shipping?

Mar 23 2005, 12:39 AM
i have 1 beaten in, 1 barely thrown and 1 unthrown. i love the way they feel and they seem to fly a bit faster than a roc with a predictable fade at the end of the flight. i won't be selling them any time soon, though, sorry. i'd learn to throw a roc or kc roc if you're stuck on innova, since they will never be in short supply. the buzz and wasp are good alternatives once you get past your mental non-innova block period /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Mar 23 2005, 12:40 AM
I cant find it cheap anywhere!

Mar 23 2005, 12:43 AM
i have acquired and traded a few prolines in the last year..
THey fly great.. Less glide than a roc, but smaller like a spider and fast..
They are great for straight shots.. i dont' know about hyzers, but they are definately accurate..

The DX i didn't like, but the Proline was sweet.. I'll be holding onto my Maxweight Proline for a long time ;)

Did you just not like the feel of the DX?

I have two used Pro Line Gremlins. One is 172 yellow and 175 Teal. Both are in great shape. I am looking for used 10x Kc pro Rocs. PM me if interested Thanks!

Mar 23 2005, 01:11 AM
hrdgabag2,
maybe it was the dx one i got, but i honestly didn't like it as much as the proline one.. on my first 2-3 throws i loved it, but it beat in really quick and after that i didn't like it anymore... that's probably why i liked the pro line better.
It's a cool disc, but i'm sure it could be compared to something still on the market or they would have probably kept running it in at least DX plastic..

BUt then again they did discontinue the Regular Sentinel :( :( :(

-Scott Lewis

Mar 23 2005, 01:15 AM
Joey I dont have the Kc Rocs but i might be interested in getting one of those Gremlins... How much we Talking?

Mar 23 2005, 10:48 AM
I liked the Proline much more than the DX as well. I'm 100% positive it was because of a flaw in my technique, though. The DX is a straight to understable midrange that broke in to an understable midrange and the Proline is a straight to overstable midrange that broke in to an amazing straight to slightly overstable midrange.

I have a couple of Proline Gremlins sitting around but I'm not really sure what they're worth. My thought is that I'd like to be able to trade them for some of those expensive CFR discs, but I haven't really thought about it. I quit using them and went on a new midrange search while I improved my technique. Unfortunately the discs I'm leaning twards aren't from Innova so I can't help find a replacement if you don't like the Panther. It takes a little while to get used to a different disc, but it's nice to know that it's easy to get replacements.

Mar 23 2005, 10:50 AM
Hey I have DX and Pro-line Gremlins. The DX I'll sell for $10.00 and the Pro-line for $20.00. Plus shipping that would be $2.50 for 1 disc and $1.00 more for each additional ones. PM me if interested.

I'm only gonna sell 2 of each because I throw them and will continue to throw them until I find a worthy replacement.
All my Pro-lines are 174 & 175 G and orange. If any one wants to trade for lighter weights let me know.

Mar 23 2005, 12:37 PM
I have abandoned all but my most perfectly "seasoned" Roc for DX Gremlins (for dead-straight & turnover midrange) & a Proline Gremlin (hyzer bombs & wind midrange). I find that (for me), I can rip them pretty hard & they'll stay on the desired line, where a Roc is more of a finesse disc. I really only throw the Roc now on shots that fall just between max Aviar (220 ft) & min Gremlin (~ 240 ft) ranges.

Mar 23 2005, 02:16 PM
these were made in an excellent batch of plastic : )

Dude up there im not paying 10 dollars for a DX and the 20 plus shipping for a pro...

then chances are, you're not getting one any time soon. i wouldn't sell my used gremlins for less than 20, much less new and max weight. this is a disc that you probably won't be able to replace in the future, and if you're not a somewhat skilled golfer you'll find that it's a bit too stable for you taste. learn to throw a roc or panther if you're not willing to shell out some money for a rare disc. oh, and there's no reason to be rude to someone who made you a very reasonable offer that you should have considered more seriously (for future reference), since that will only alienate you from posters of this message board.

Right on!! I thought I was giving this guy a deal since I've seen a dx go for 15 plus 5 shipping on ebay last week.

no *****... thats a fine price for a dx or pro gremlin... what do you want them for??? free??? seriously man, if you want one bad enough, you'd easily pay the extra like 6 bucks from normal champion price or 2 or 3 bucks from normal dx price for a great disc that isn't produced anymore... and with your not paying for shipping nonsense (thats just part of getting a disc, come on now)... you'll probably never get one... we're talking about 10 or 20 bucks here, not 100 or something for a rare roc or something like that... 20 bucks...

I just love to hyser bomb these bad boys, I got my stash, I got a sweet Blood Red with white stamp and teal and a few others.

I does seem like these were made in some of the better run of plastic in the post CE era.

$10 and $20 are good deals, they will only go up with time, You could try a new champion gator, I plan on throwing one soon, but right now I dont know how they compare

Typical prices of new champion are anywhere from $11 to $15 anyways + shipping

Mar 23 2005, 05:57 PM
I have 2 pro-lines, one is broken in alot and the other is almost there. Best mid I have ever owned. You got to be out of your skull to sell a proline for $20  I may possibly in the future consider selling one of mine, but $20 aint gonna get it ....lol If i had the money right now both of your pro Gremlins would already be sold :)

Mar 23 2005, 06:13 PM
I am out of my skull!! The price for the Pro-line just went up to $25.00. But I really want to trade someone for a 171. The 175's I have are just to heavy for me, I can't get them to S very good. But I can still throw a hyzer dive bomb stop right there with it.

LOL! Aren't you the smart little fellow... a free dx Gremlin... you lucked out there man. Just because you got something for free doesn't mean that 10 dollars is a bad deal, what kind of logic is that? Seriously, you must be like six years old or something...
and no, I don't feel stupid at all (you should though with the preschooler logic you used to deduce that 10 is a bad deal for a dx Gremlin because you got one for free from some guy you know :o), I'd pay 10 for a dx Gremlin any day of the week, even if you got 20 of them for free, dumb[*****] :D

so i guess you got a dx gremlin? it's too bad you couldn't find a pro, cause they're the ones people really like to throw. when you beat up that dx you should look into that $25 offer, i think it's still on the table and it would be a great steal for you.

Understable = right turnover for right hand backhand
< you should expect this from a used DX Gremlin. >

If you like the DX that much, then spend the money and buy the best multi purpose disc out. The Pro Line Gremlin.

The price for the Pro-line just went up to $25.00.

so that would mean that it has gone up 4 dollars over the past 4 days, putting you at the not-so-cheap $29 dollar deal. it's just a shame that you turned your nose up to $20, you could've saved yourself $9, almost the same as what you saved on that free dx gremlin.

Mar 27 2005, 07:07 PM
who asked you? I believe i was asking Nytrain

Mar 27 2005, 08:10 PM
i thought i'd go ahead and answer, since i knew the likely response and obviously you had neglected to read his responses from several days ago. you spurned him once, so he's not likely to go DOWN in price, which i'm thinking is what you hope will happen. here's an offer for you:
i have 2 used pro gremlins, and i will sell 1 of them to you only. both are 175 grams. one is blue with a purple stamp that says "pro gremlin" only (i removed the rest of the stamp with acetone). the other is red with the complete white stamp. both have been thrown ~300 times and have several scratches along the rims, but no major chunks taken out. i don't really want to get rid of either, but i will sell you one for $55 + shipping. offer good today only. :p

Mar 27 2005, 08:41 PM
well 55 dollars for a used one.....with major scratches.....not to be a butt-hole but i think i might go for nytrains deal...but i will get back to you

Mar 27 2005, 09:14 PM
ok. hopefully he still has his. but don't worry, i'm not really hoping to get rid of mine, as it is my main mid-range.

Mar 27 2005, 09:47 PM

Mar 27 2005, 11:03 PM

i find the ones with flashing still on them to be more stable. once the flashing wears down, the disc starts to be less stable.

the proline ones can take a beating.

the disc is a cheater disc to me. can be used as a driver or midrange from stable to under. guess that is why i have two of them in my bag at all times.
