Is this a new disc? Did you spell it correctly?

The gumb putt is kinda like the blowfly i think. Theyre known for being really really floppy, almost fall through the basket floppy. I know alot of older guys that putt with them and they're deadly from 60' and in.

I have a GUMPUTT putter in front of me right now. It has a 1985 date stamped on the front, as well. Mark Martin swears by them. This one is near brand new...except for being 20 years old.

I used this disc for about three rounds and wanted to drop it in the dumpster on the way out. It has an unexpected and completely debilitating problem: it rolls. Since it's so rubbery, when it hits the ground it bounces a lot. Not a big deal on flat surfaces (unless you're like me and have attrocious luck) but if you're putting for a target on ANY sort of incline, use something else. If you miss the put and it hits the ground, it will bounce up on its side and roll down hill without fail. It's amazing, really something to behold. I couldn't roll it on purpose, but only accidentally at the least opportune moments. When I had to chase it into traffic after a 100 ft. roll, I decided the camel's back was broken. It ruined some otherwise good rounds for me, so it sits at home now.

Another thing to watch out for is that since it's so floppy, it will hit the chains or the center post on a single chain set basket, flex almost in half, and then jump back beyond the edge of the basket.

You've been warned.

the part of rolling down the hill sounds like every putter i've ever tried :(

I have used the DGA BluntGumbputt since about 1998.

I have tried almost every putter out there before sticking with the BluntGumbputt (Aviars, Omegas, Rubber Putter, Birdie, XD's, PoleCats, Magnet, APX, etc.. etc..)

What I liked the best about it was it fit snuggly in my hand.
There was no slop. The tapered inside grip makes it the most comfortable for me. I like how it can hit the chains and will stick and drop into the hole. This is not a disc to be used if you are trying to putt or throw through leaves, branches, etc.. because they will stop your disc due to it sticky nature. I also like it because the disc doesn't have to be completely dry to give you a positive grip. I do putt with a slight Anhyzer to compensate for the slight overstability the disc does have. I do not drive with this disc, I use a Wizard for that aspect of the game. It floats in water. I am a 922 rated player. My putting does not hold me back at all, it is the drive off the tee that is majorly holding me back. I have ran across very few people that use these discs. Use what works for you . I wouldn't leave the disc laying in the back window of a car on a hot day, especially if it isn't laying flat. Alot of people have tried putting with it before rounds and they give it right back. That is ok with me because it works for me.

Give it an honest try, what do you have to lose but a couple strokes.

i used to have one.. I think i got it from MItch Sondermullet!
and i also bought 2 for a friend.
They are a fun disc.. i wouldn't putt with it because.. well.. i just can't putt at all anyway, but it was fun for throwing around and playing catch. Makes for some interesting drives :)

I like my new putter, It sticks to the chains, no problem with it rolling, but i can see what you mean I had that problem with my Ryno.
The grip on the rim of the disc is what has me hooked.
