Today I was going thru my stash of Discs reprinitng my name and phone number on the back to contact me in case I lose any of them. I was just wondering if any of the Pros ever do this ??
I speculate that they don't because they hardly lose a Disc. Plus they probably get a large supply from their sponsorship so they don't need to worry about this. And for Confidentiality purposes I doubt someone like Climo would consider it.

Any insights to this ???

I found Juliana's bag (left at the last course before the final 9 at another course at the KC Wide) one year, and all of her's had her PDGA # and name. I don't think there were any phone numbers.

I'm sure they must put at least their names since the rules require you to put a unique mark on your discs.

I put my name on the back of my discs but I am reconsidering with all the threats I have been receiving. Anyways all players (including) pros must mark thier discs but they don't all put names. :D:D

Yup, you are MTL, and you are right! I found KC's KC Gazelle roller~disc at a KCWO...and returned it to him before the Final 9 started. Yeah, he was happy! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Its a PDGA rule that you gotta put aleast a mark on your disc to tell it apart from anyone else when you play in a PDGA tournament.. so... i would assume they do /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Weird...only the second person I've ever heard of that uses Gazelles as rollers.

If they don't put their name on the back of their disc I am stroking them the next time I play them!!

i think somebody needs to warn kenny and barry that they have a stalker on thier hands

looks like he was simply wondering how the pros mark their discs. no stalking involved.

MitchMac has the most unique marking i've seen. to me it looks like a couple of scribles and then a couple of more scribles about the size of a dime. :D

And now for the "rest of the story":
When I had returned KC's disc prior to the KCWO Final 9 (in '98 or '99) I remarked to him that when the KC Pro Edition discs first came out - I had thought it stood for 'Kansas City' Pro Edition...he quickly retorted that he thought the tournament was the 'Ken Climo' Wide Open! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Like Stokely said during the awards ceremony one year at the GLO in MI, "this guy could throw paper plates". Climo parked the last hole of the playoff with, I think, a Pegasus.
