I used to throw a lot of XS's, but recently my Predator has became my main driver. I was wondering how a Z Flick compares to Z Predator. Thanks in advance

I thought that the Z-Flick would replace my Z-Pred initially. After playing a few rounds with the Z-Flick, i realized that they are 2 totally different discs, and it was not going to replace the Z-Pred. LONG LIVE THE PRED!!!!!

Pred's are still more overstable than Flicks, and Pred's are a lot less high speed sensitive. Also, the Flick's low profile has a disadvantage in terms of durability compared to the Pred. It didn't take me long to warp the leading edge of the Flick.

They are very different. I throw Flicks and X Preds, and also threw Z Preds for a while.

The predator seems to have a steady left turn at the end of the flight, while the Flick's hyzer is a lot sharper at the end of the flight. This causes the Pred to have slightly more distance since the fade is not as sharp.

I also had a slight taco in one of my Flicks. I didn't like the change in stability, so I only throw newer ones. It was a taco that caused this, I have normal wear on my Flicks now and they still fly the same.

I would suggest sticking with the Predator if you're using it as your main driver. To me the Flick is more of a specialty disc, or at least a wind/hard hyzer disc for power throwers.

The Flick seems to be a bit faster, but the last 10% or so of it's flight it just drops out of the sky. Also, thrown flat and hard, the Flick can flip over, and doesn't always have the opportunity to come back. The predator has better glide, more consistency, and therefore, greater accuracy in my opinion.

I have heard of great success stories for sidearm throwers using the Flick. If you are considering throwing the Flick sidearm, I'd give it a try. Otherwise, I don't think it is as useful for backhand, especially when put up against such a great disc as the Predator.

As the other guy said... Viva la Predator!

Not THAT rating. I don't have a poster's rating. There are a bunch of over 1000 rated posters, and I'm still unrated.

Thank you all, I guess I should have worded it differently..I am trying to find a disc that will fade more at the end than my predator, but will hold a fairly straight line like the pred. Only reason I'm wondering about this disc is because it will be one of the options in the player's pak at an upcoming event.

It definatly fades more at the end then a predator.. aslo its quicker, but has no glide. so like everyone else said it just kinda drops outta the sky.. so if u are looking for a straight disc that fades hard at the end.. then give the flick a try.

alright, thank you! I just wish he was getting predators again this year..oh well, you can't always get what you want :)

Just to confuse you a little more the Flick does glide pretty well, sometimes. I found it a little less overstable than the X Predator, but in the same ballpark. I had some great shots with both my 150 Flick and my 172. But now they're gone.

In any case, if you're getting a Flick in a player pack, why not just try it yourself? What do you have to lose?

I agree, the Flick is a great sidearm driver because it will do what it's going to do right out of your hand, it's less sensitive to 'wobble' and speed and therefore will have a little less 'action' out of your hand. The predator can be finessed for long late turns, huge lifting hyzers. I would say the Flick is more accurate for 'bomb' ballistic type shots like thumbers and the like, while the Z pred is for stable and overstable straight shots, cut rollers, hyzers and long helix shots. The Z pred is my asolute go to disc, while the flick is still finding it's way into the current arsenal.

Thx for reading.

I can pick from that, the flash, the buzz and like 5 other discs. I just didn't want to get stuck with something that I'll never throw again.

I hear everyone talking about the flick as a sidearm disc...i cant drive sidearm for shxt, only time i use it is for a finesse mid when i need to get around trees and what not.
