I went yesterday to walk this course ,iIt has been laid out and flagged .Me and Erron Salazar played the whole course with the man who is responsible for raising all the money for this course .The course plays 5600 ft and has some short holes a few 400 and One 600 .Very nice mixtures of left and right holes .The baskets have been ordered and will be in the ground in the next month .we are already planning the first event later in the year .This course is one hour from CC,Live Oak ,Victoria ,Gonzales .This should be a great place for all of us to meet once a month and get together .We will be planning a work day soon to get this course in the ground and I look forward to some help from you guys .There is also a college Five minutes from this park who is interested in putting a course in there also .This town has a lot of really old Oak trees and some creeks that run through the park .I can see this becoming a favorite for all players .Contact me for more info and I can get you in touch with Marc Stone Who is a pastor at a church in Beeville Marc is the one who has done all the work so far .

yeah, this is gonna be a great park. alot of big trees, good grass, slight elevation changes, and creeks that can be forgiving in some places. i put 3 discs in the water and i got them all back. The land at the college has an island surrounded by water with a bridge, this would make an awsome signature hole.

The course is in and VERY nice. Big props to Mark on a stellar design. Once the little things are taken care of (fairways cut, trees thinned, ivy killed) it will be all the better. I had a great time this weekend and can't wait to play it again...actually i think i may head out this afternoon and play another round or two.

Apr 18 2005, 01:31 PM
We had 13 show up for the first ever mini in beeville .Erron Salazar shoots a -3 to set the bar .He was -6 at one time ,This course is going to be very well liked and will be a popular one for events .Once the trees are trimmed up this will be a super nice course .Nice mix of long holes and 300 ft low ceiling technical shots with not alot of room for anything to crazy .Great job Mark Stone .we also met the first local who came up and said he couldnt believe there was a course there we gave him a few discs and off he went with a huge smile on his face . we will be planning another mini soon but would like to plan it so we can get some Live Oak and Victoria people to come out This has the chance to be a huge gathering Bieng only One Hour from all of us.Third Coast DGC will be hosting a B or C tier In Nov .South Texas Am shootout .Stay tuned for more details and thanks to everyone who came out .

Great park!!!!! Cant wait to play it after all the wildflowers are cut down. There is also a hotel about 5 minutes away, quite a few places to eat. And a 9 hole ball golf course right next to the disc golf course. Fly 9?

Played first round with Smokey and Doug on Saturday. Played poorly but I liked the course. How about a few islands of wildflowers to act as OB islands. Other wise the front side will play pretty wide open.

Played the course today for the first time with Cruz and I got to say that I like it. Has a variety of shots and the park is pretty nice. By the way, I shot -2 with bogeys on holes 1 and 10, I'll let Cruz post what he shot but he had me by 5 strokes after hole 10, then I woke up to take the money. :D

the turnout was pretty good for beeville's first mini. 13 i think. players from victoria, san antonio and rockport showed up with a handful of locals. third coast represents :cool:with top 3 spots:

Gabe Marroquin -4
Spencer Gambill E
Geoff Mysorski +2

payout was plastic...

it was a good time until the last hole of doubles round when a birthday party threatened to call the cops. a good time regardless.
