I'm relatively new to this sport, and certainly make no claim to fame myself. Out of curiosity though, I have been trying to locate some sort of PDGA record book that lists, for example, the winners of the World Champinonships each year in various categories, etc. Much to my surprise, there does not seem to be any such source.
In a completely constructive manner, I'd make the observation that no self-respecting self-respecting sport should be without it's official record book. I'd even be willing to produce one myself so long as the publication rights remained mine if i put the work into it.
FWIW, my son loves disc golf and asked me if Ken Climo or Barry Shultz had played as juniors, and if so, how they did.

Well, it is still quite well done and just what I was looking for. Bad links are a minor problem easily fixed. So once again, THANKS!
That is a great list, and could stand to be updated. Perhaps some PDGA volunteer (David Wiggins Sr. :D) could be in charge of keeping it up to date.

I think I'd be more accurately described as a donor considering multiple yearly license fees, fees for World's, volunteer work etc. :-) My previous offer would still stand, but given the existance of the current site, I doubt there would be any interest.

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) maintains a list of disc sport-related world records (http://wfdf.org/index.php?page=records/index.htm) as well as a list of disc golf world champions (http://wfdf.org/index.php?page=history/discgolf.htm) prior to 1982 (the year the PDGA began holding the World Championship).
The PDGA maintains a list (http://pdga.com/proworldchamps.php) of World Champions in the various Open divisions on the website. (At one time, there was a link for AM world champions as well, but it's currenyly not accessible.)
FWIW, my son loves disc golf and asked me if Ken Climo or Barry Shultz had played as juniors, and if so, how they did.
According to the info in the Career History page on KC's website (http://www.kenclimo.com), he was 19 years old when he joined the PDGA, making it highly unlikely that he competed as a Junior.
It appears from this interview (http://www.discontinuum.org/Personality_Spotlight/Barry-Schultz.html) that Barry did compete as a Junior for a brief time (though it's not clear whether or not the tournaments he refers to were sanctioned), but moved up (or was "encouraged" to move up) to competing in "Men's" after winning a couple of tournaments. (It's also not clear how old he was when he joined the PDGA, although his PDGA # suggests he would have joined sometime in the late '80s, which would have put him in his late teens.)

AMAZING, Lil Dave Wiggins does it again. 4-16-05, One week prior to turning 10, Dave Wiggins steps up to the line and CRUSHES an INNOVA, Champion Orc 343' 5 and 1/8 inches. He threw this into a 15 mph cross wind. Guys just wait a couple of years when he starts to nail down hits putts and approaches. Congratulations from Johnson Street Disc Golf Club. Good Luck D. You can also find compilations of PDGA World Records and various disc throwing records at my MSN Group, Disc Golf Resources. You have to be a member to download the documents. In the Documents section look under the Tournaments and Misc files. You can find the group at http://groups.msn.com/DiscGolfResources
I don't have any information about Junior Champions, though. Compiling that information would be a worthwhile project for you to undertake. ;)

well it would be nice to see it updated.
Since then, Barry put up a 1088 the first round at worlds, Coda shot the 1091, and there were two rounds in the 1070's this weekend.....
Also, I would think Brad's round would get the 1080 nod once the wind and rain is taken into effect and the fact of the new tee on 10 and the new pin on 9.

Chuck or anyone who knows why: this tournament is official but does not have the cash listed:

Wish I could have seen Des' round at Buckhorn last Saturday. My wife and I were following the lead women's group, which she was not in at the time.
Anyone know what Walt's 43 rated at Zebulon; to me that's more impressive than Brad's 42 at Cedar. WOW! my first post
At the Dogwood Crosstown that is. Probably help to know the tournament.
Brian McRee's 42 at Cedar in the 2003 Dogwood was rated 1072, and KC's a year later was 1074, but the course is now arguably tougher (new long #10 tee).
Greg Williams' 43 at Zebulon later that year was 1072 also. Walt has had 4 sanctioned 44s at Zebulon (all 1052-1061 rated), in 2003 and 2004.
So, my guess is Brad's 42 will be 1075-1080, and Walt's 43 will be around 1070.

also, the WCP should go up a little more at cedar not only b/c of long 10, but when the first two -12 were shot, 9 was in the left posistion, this weekend it was in the right...
while it may not be harder or easier, the scoring average on the hole still increases b/c more OB strokes are going to be taken

This page used to be on the PDGA site but no more. Its the closest to a record book I've seen, but only goes up to about 2000. Looks like the record for season aces is 6 by Chris Hysell, so keep it up FriZZ. Someone recently broke the single tournament record with 4 I think.
